Yearning for more magic in your life? Are you a cat enthusiast in Nassau or Suffolk County? Then you simply must meet Chela, the enchanting, muted calico who dazzled the world with her arrival on August 14, 2025! Calico cats are like tiny bundles of magic, with their unique tri-color coats. Known as lucky “money cats,” Japanese fishermen even kept them on ships to chase away storms and bad luck. This petite furball tried her own luck when her owners moved away and left her outside to fend for herself. Fortunately, a kind neighbor swooped in to save the day and brought her to the vet. Chela is a bit shy, but she’s got a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered by someone patient and gentle. She’d probably be happiest as the queen of her own castle, so a single kitty home might be purrfect for her. All the kitties at Humane Urban Group are ready to purr their way into your heart, with a clean bill of health, FIV/FeLV tests, their first vaccinations, and they’re all spayed/neutered and microchipped. Ready to welcome Chela into your home? For the fastest response, fill out HUG’s online form at humaneurbangroup.org/adoption-application.

This is Lucy (adult female calico) and Ruby (adult female tabby), who are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. Unfortunately, they do not get along with the owner’s dogs and must find a new home with a loving family that will prioritize their happiness and wellbeing.

Hi, I am Flea. I am a Domestic Shorthair kitten born on July 30th, 2026, and Tick is my brother. I am a sweet, curious little girl who loves to play, explore, and see what is going on around me. I am still discovering the world and would love to do that with a family of my own. I have my whole life ahead of me and plenty of love, cuddles, and kitten mischief to share. I am ready for my forever home. Could it be with you?

Chloe looking for a permanent home where she can be the Queen. She does not like other cats or small children.

Petie and Nutmeg are a mother and son duo. They both love attention, to bet pet and are very affectionate. Petie also enjoys sitting on laps and getting belly rubs. They are both playful, but Nutmeg really enjoys playing. These gorgeous cats have remained close their entire lives, cuddling and grooming each other. Nutmeg is very cat selective and is only truly comfortable with Petie. Due to this we feel that they would be happiest as the only pets in their home. They need a special family to give cats with few prospects a loving home. Petie requires litter that isn't dusty for his allergies (we use walnut or world's best) and eats a prescription diet to prevent crystals.  Nutmeg has an old, healed leg injury that left her with a small limp.  She can still jump and get around without issue. Nutmeg was born 11/1/2014 and Petie was born on 6-1-2015 and they are located in Patchogue, NY.  To Foster or Adopt Petie & Nutmeg: fill out an application on our website at www.jensadoptablecats.com/applications.  ##525097##

Meet Carmella! Born December, 2024 This orange tripod beauty, Carmella was rescued from the winter cold along with her babies. After spending a few weeks being an amazing and loving mom, the kittens were adopted. Carmella is now something she has never been before: the center of attention. She is being spoiled with treats and affection and learning how to live the life of an indoor cat. Carmella didn't understand love when she first came into her foster home, and she has blossomed, learning to trust, ask for pets, play with fuzzy mice and string toys. Best of all, Carmella loves sitting quietly by your side, one paw on your lap to let you know she loves you. While her disability requires no special care or attention, a home without small children would be best, Carmella knows her own limits, and will gently swat if she has had enough. She continues to express her love with enthusiastic head butts and an outstretched paw when she wants to be pet, and will reward you with loud purrs. Carmella would love a sunny window, space to explore and play, and a spot by your side to show you her gratitude and love. She has come so far in her journey and she deserves her happy ending!! Meet Spice! Born April, 2026 Spice earned her name because she’s the fearless protector of her little family. She loves spending her day with her brother chasing anything that moves, especially toys that jingle or make fun sounds. With her confident personality and loving nature, Spice brings the perfect balance to make the perfect pet. Spice is happily following her people from room to room as if she’s keeping watch over the household. Spice especially loves climbing onto your shoulders for extra pets and melts into gentle face rubs. At bedtime, she enjoys sleeping on the bed and snuggling as close as possible to you.
