Story
Miley was born June 7, 2020. She’s such a sweet, calm girlie. She can be playful, but she’s a bit serious most of the time. I’m looking for a loving forever home for Miley. Somewhere clean, with a family that will show affection, but also give her the space a princess like her needs.

Story
Meet Big Bertha — a five-year-old, plus-sized calico queen with emerald eyes, a legendary glare, and a heart far softer than her expression lets on. She came to us from South Carolina after being rescued from an unimaginable hoarding situation. She was living in a home with 103 animals, surrounded by absolute filth, neglect, and heartbreak. Some of the animals didn’t survive. Dogs, cats, and small animals were found malnourished and living in deplorable conditions. Thankfully, Big Bertha was one of the lucky ones who made it out — a survivor where so many others were not. As you might expect, her start in rescue wasn’t easy. When she entered the shelter, Big Bertha was completely shut down. For 600 long days, she waited quietly to be noticed, to be chosen, to be safe. And we are endlessly grateful that she was rescued, because ever since, she has been nothing short of an absolute love. Behind the sass, the mean mug, and the permanent look of judgment, this chonky sweetheart is truly a softie at heart. Big Bertha is a simple girl who desires soft scratches, a full bowl of food, and someone willing to sit with her in peaceful, quiet company. Her list of royal demands is refreshingly short — a plush bed, a window to stare (or glare) out of, and a human who will happily provide love, admiration, and yes…belly rubs. She is SUCH. A. GOOF. Big Bertha loves to be admired and spoken to. She will engage in full conversations with you through intense eye contact, dramatic pauses, and the occasional silent judgment. It’s truly an experience. Despite being a plus-sized bombshell, Big Bertha has a clean bill of health and excellent bloodwork. She is the kind of lady who causes no drama — content to keep to herself unless you invite affection. While she previously lived with other animals, she would much prefer to reign as your one and only. A quiet, calm home would be her dream kingdom. It’s no surprise that everyone here is completely in love with Big Bertha. She knows it, finds it mildly pathetic to be honest, and graciously tolerates our constant “oohs” and “ahhs” over her adorable angry face and judgy looks. This is Big Bertha’s world, we’re just living in it. Her adoption fee is $225 and Big Bertha is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. Story
Meet Pyro, a stunning four-year-old calico whose journey is one of strength, survival, and so much love waiting to be shared. Pyro came to our rescue with seven other cats after a devastating house fire in Ansonia just before Christmas. When the family’s home caught fire, the cats were left behind to fend for themselves in a space that was suddenly unsafe and unfamiliar. Despite everything she’s been through, Pyro has held onto her gentle spirit and is now ready for a fresh start in a furever home where she can finally feel secure again. She appears to be bonded with her housemate, Kindle, a two-year-old tuxedo so they must be adopted together. Pyro can be shy at first while but once she realizes she can trust you, she completely blossoms. She transforms into an incredibly affectionate lap cat who will happily crawl right onto you to soak up all the love and attention she can get. Pyro is a true vocal queen and isn’t afraid to let you know when she wants pets, cuddles, or companionship. Her love language is constant affection, full-body smothers, and being as close to her person as possible. She'll happily climb onto your shoulder and be carried around the house for hours! She gets along well with other cats and enjoys their company. Pyro is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time she needs to settle in and the affection she craves once she does. In return, she’ll reward you with endless snuggles, sweet conversations, and a devoted presence by your side. Pyro is currently at the Purrfect Lounge in Plainville, a cat lounge where guests can visit and play with the cats. All meet & greets for Pyro will take place there, giving you a chance to see her sweet personality in action! Her adoption fee is $250 (lounge price) and Pyro is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you're interested in this beauty, please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/201805462692153. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Canela is a beautiful female cat with big, gorgeous green eyes and stunning, unique coloring that will instantly steal your heart. She is incredibly sweet, loving, and kind—one of those special souls who just wants to be close to her people. Canela was abandoned on the streets and was originally going to be part of a TNR program, but once we got to know her, it was clear she did not belong outside. She craves affection, loves to cuddle, and enjoys playtime. She truly thrives on human companionship. This precious girl deserves so much more than what life has given her so far. She deserves a second chance with a family who will love her unconditionally and never abandon her again. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love, Canela may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Both cats are up for adoption. They are sisters, and they hangout all day and sleep most of the time. They love food, love snuggling up with people, and they like to play with toys. Due to family members having health issues, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep them. We have been trying to find a good home for them for years with no luck. We have an elderly dog and a 3 year old dog and they don’t bother with them. They keep to themselves and like to curl up in soft blankets and chill. Uschi has extra toes, giving her front paws a “mitten” look. Will drop them off to you in carriers. They are such nice kitties, it’s just too much on the family due to allergies and cat litter irritation to someone with chronic lung conditions.

Story
We always have Barn and Farm cats to place! Most of these are cats who are not friendly with people, although many do become so over time. These cats live outside primarily and help reduce rodent and pest populations. Farms, barns, feed stores, warehouses, greenhouses, or any building that offers a cat escape from severe weather and predators is ideal for placement. We like to place in pairs but that is not required. The cats in these photos are shy/timid with people but not aggressive and would do best in an outdoor home, not as a house cat. We ask for a $50 fee for each cat adopted however we do spend about $150 per cat to be spayed or neutered and get vaccines so any additional donation is greatly appreciated. Story
Blue is a very sweet, easy going, and affectionate adult kitty approx 4-5 years old. He came to us when his owner went into the hospital and could no longer provide care. He was an only cat before coming to us but did well in a multi-cat foster home. Blue does prefer girl kitties over other boys :) He loves to follow you around and will sit on the couch or bed for hours being petted. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. and submit an application. See this kitty in purrson at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport weekends 11-2.

Story
Mona is a sweet and gentle girl about 2 1/2 who came to us as a stray. She loves to have attention and spend time with people. Mona gets along with most other nice cats or would be happy having all your attention to herself. Mona has tested positive for FIV, also known at kitty Aids. Just like with people it is NOT contagious through casual contact. It's safe to share food, water, and litter box with a negative cat. FIV is only passed by mating or a deep bite wound, where saliva from the positive cat enters the blood stream of another kitty. This is very rare in socialized house cats. FIV cats may have a shorter life span in part due to the fact that with a compromised immune system they are more prone to contracting infections. FIV positive cats must live strictly indoors to reduce the chances of contracting something dangerous. It is NOT a death sentence! FIV positive cats can live well into their teens and have a very normal life. Mona was fostered in a home with several negative cats. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. and submit an application. See this kitty in purrson at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport anytime the store is open.
