CALICO LAP CUDDLER  DOB 6/27/21 Lyra would like a quiet house with a person or two who will get to know her gently, as she is very attached to her foster mom.  Lyra thinks her foster mom is the berries, so Lyra won't be won over in a minute.  She also hates cats except for her little black nemesis Trudy.  Lyra loves playing the game "aggravation" with Trudy.  She's a fabulous biscuit maker, if she adopts you!    HOPE ID 21-0807-E010 If you are interested in Lyra and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
RAKISH-LOOKING PIRATE-KITTY  DOB 10/1/22 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Cara, and my name fits me to a “T” because it means “darling, beloved, dear, loved one.” I’m a sweet, happy, playful calico girl with an adorable stumpy tail that curves over my back. I love everyone and get along with other friendly cats as well as well-behaved children. I guess you’re wondering why I’m a rakish-looking, one-eyed kitty. My rescuer noticed that one of my eyes was smaller than the other as well as infected. The vet eye specialist diagnosed that my eye had never fully developed. Since I had no vision in it anyway and since it was prone to infections, I underwent surgery to remove it. This doesn’t slow me down at all because I’m a brave kitty who enjoys life! I had been fending for myself in an apartment complex in a bad part of town because my owners had moved out and left me behind. Of course they hadn’t bothered to spay me, so it wasn’t long before I became pregnant and had a litter of five kittens. Thank heavens our HOPE foster meowmy rescued us and brought us inside to safety. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and I hope you’ll look past my superficial “flaw” and arrange to meet my calm, friendly self. By the way, there are advantages to adopting a kitty who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’d be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your cherished accessories. HOPE ID 23-0804-G262 If you are interested in Cara and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
YOUR PERSONAL OFFICE ASSISTANT  DOB 1/1/20 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Princess Fiona. Okay, it’s really just Fiona, but I like to think of myself as a princess. I’m a sweet, loving calico gal who LOVES my hoomans, and I mean LOVES them.  I make air biscuits a lot when Foster Meowmy rubs my back and belly, and I’m in kitty heaven when she scratches my chin or ears. Because I have a little bit of an overbite, I often purr with my mouth slightly open, which Foster Meowmy thinks is super cute. She describes me as “full of love.” Although I don’t like to be picked up and held much, I love to climb up in Foster Meowmy’s lap, sit on her desk, or happily sleep on her bed. Unfortunately, I won’t be a great work-from-home buddy until I learn to stay off Foster Meowmy’s keyboard. Interestingly, I have a “startle reflex” to scratch out when I don’t know who’s petting me while I sleep or while I’m just staring off into space. Foster Meowmy thinks I shouldn’t be adopted into a home with kids under eight years old because I would hate, in my surprise, to scratch someone by accident. I merely tolerate the resident cats – as long as they are chill and don’t get in my face. On the other hand, I do not get along at all with the small friendly resident dog. It would be just fine with me if I were the only “pet” child because that means there’d be no competition for my hooman’s attention. I’m a stunning plus-size model. I’ve got a large frame, but then again, I’m admittedly a little bit chubby. I love food. I see it, and I want to eat it! Since I’m not a picky eater, the best remedy is not to offer me free-choice food all day long.  What should do the trick is a feeding schedule and interactive exercise for me to pounce, chase, and lunge when my Foster Meowmy dangles a wand toy over my head. I was found as a stray in southwest Houston, so I’m grateful for my foster home. However, I know that a home of my very own is what’s best for me. If you’re looking for a kitty who will think that you’re the sun and the moon, I’m the bundle-of-love gal for you! Arrange to meet me! Incidentally, one of the advantages of adopting an adult kitty like me who's past the rambunctious kitten stage is that I'll create less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 23-0318-C004 If you are interested in Fiona and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Story
This is Callie. She was found with her eyes glued shut and burn marks on her. It took awhile for her to heal after we found her. She is so very sweet and just wants to be safe and loved. She is quiet, and is ok being left alone, even though she sits beside her foster mom while she is on her computer working. She is somewhat scared of other cats but leaves them alone and stays close to her foster mom.

Story
Quinton, AKA Quinn, was discovered in March of 2020 near my old apartment complex. He was only a kitten and we took him in, along with his brother (Quarantine, AKA Quarry). Quinn is four years old, is an indoor cat and loves snuggling in bed, playing in tunnels, and wrestling with his brother. Ideally, we would like to rehome him and his brother together considering they have been together since birth. However, we understand that it may be too much for one potential future owner and are willing to separate them. He is trained to utilize his cat window to exit the apartment and use the cat litter outside, housed in a storage container with a cut out door and holes for ventilation.
