Calico kittens & cats in Pearland, Texas

Hope was found on the side of a busy road.  She was only 4-5 weeks old.  She was  d iagnosed with blunt force trauma to the spine.    She went for a second opinion  to  the   only board certified cat vet in  Texas .  He recommended hydrotherapy and Reiki.  We  believed  she would walk and hoped that she would gain control of her bladder.   For  5 months ,   t wice a day for 30 minutes  sessions , she went into the water and  worked hard .   Her back leg  muscles grew stronger.   B oth of her legs  move d . Her tail move d from side to side, but  w ould n’ t lift it up.   Rei ki kept her spirits high .   Sadly, after another  vet  consultation , it was determined  she has plateaued and w on’t  regain her ability to walk or control her bladder or bowels.    She is a very loving and affectionate cat.  Her special needs don’t hold her back.  She scoots around at the speed of light.  She can climb a cat tree and loves to go on walks outside in her stroller.  She loves to chase the laser light and balls.  She also likes to watch the  world   pass by  while  looking out  the window .    She is cat and dog friendly.  She never meets a stranger.   When you pick her up, she immediately leans back asking for loving pets under her chin and neck.   She is looking for that special person to love with all her heart and take care of her special needs  furever .   Hope is located in Houston, TX and we will consider transport for the right person. Anise was brought to the rescue with her 4 babies. Her babies were very sick and she knew she needed help with them. Anise brought her babies to a good samaritans front porch, tying to find help for her and her babies. Once they were brought to the rescue everyone received medical care and are now doing amazing. Anise has been a wonderful mother and sweet house guest in her foster home. She loves pets and scratches! She is such a sweet, kind, loving animal that deserves a family to call her own! Sweetie was found on the streets with her 3 sweet little babies who were very sick. A Good Samaritan brought the family into her home and reached out for help. The whole family was brought into the rescue and received medical attention and now everyone is thriving! Sweetie has finished her duties as mom and is now enjoying life indoors! She was a bit overwhelmed when she was first let loose in the house, but each day that goes by Sweeting settles in more and more. She has decided the best place in the house is sleeping in a smaller humans bed! She loves the regular meal times! Sweet Peanut is such a joy to have in foster! She came to the rescue with her 6 babies, one being special needs! She was a wonderful mother and did an amazing job raiser wonderful kittens. Don’t let the three legs fool you. Caramello will outrun, out-climb, and boss around all her foster friends. She absolutely loves spending times on her cat tree by the window, observing the world and watching out for visitors. She takes some time to warm up to new people but once she does, she’ll come when called and spend lots of time cuddling with you. You see, she came from the streets. She was a just a young kitten trying to survive on her own. She was brought into a clinic to be spayed where it was discovered her leg had subsided and injury that left the nerve severed and needed to be amputated. She also had a severe injury to her tail that required it to be amputated too. We will never know what happened to her but we know it will never happen again! She has settled into the good life indoors!!! She’s great with other cats and will introduce herself first to them too. I'm a 'bicolor,' which means that I'm mostly white with blue and cream patches on my head, back, and tail. I’m what’s called a “polydactyl” because I have more toes on my front paws than most kitties. I’m very petite, and although I’m full grown, I’m the size of a seven-month old kitten. My future foster meowmy was on a TNR mission when she found me, friendly but pregnant and living paw-to-mouth in a feral-cat colony at a very low-income immigrant apartment complex in southwest Houston. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy scooped me up and brought me home with her to foster me. I’m adjusting well to my safe, secure indoor life with brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and toys to play with. However, trying to survive at that feeding station had been a very bad experience because I’d had to fight for food amongst the intact toms. Description Black, Orange and White (medium fur) Female Calico with white paws. Personality Pepper is a very mild-mannered, well behaved, litter box trained cat. She is extremely polite and affectionate and a perfect indoor kitty. She prefers to let you know when she wants to be held and if you sit in a chair she happily jumps into your lap for affection. Pepper is patient and has a gentle nature. She can seem shy when adapting to a new place, but quickly will begin to happily explore. Background Pepper was found behind a garage parking lot with no shelter, food or water. She was extremely thin, malnourished and very friendly, even to a stranger. Her finder left her food and water and then returned two more days to feed her. On the third day they brought a cat carrier and she walked right into the carrier. She must have either been lost or dumped. They posted her as a found stray and tried to find her home but no one claimed her. She was spayed at The Greater Good on April 29th, dewormed, vaccinated, and given flea treatment. Pepper will make a wonderful pet for a small family with older children or a single person or couple looking for a wonderful companion. Pip is a 6 month old love bug. She’s loves cuddles, wrestling and naps. She gets along with dogs, cats and rabbits. She is very social and will do well in a busy home. I’m an expert hairstylist…. I know that I am not as unique as some other kitties, but I am amazing! I protected my babies on the streets, through storms, I went hungry to keep them fed, I moved them to make sure they stayed alive and together. So, you see I may not “look” as pretty as some other kitties, but I was an amazing Mom, even though I had no choice but to be one! Then one day, a kind lady trapped me and several others. They swooped up my babies and promised they would take care of them forever; my job was done. After I went to the doctor, the lady then realized I didn’t want to be released back to the streets. I am super sweet and learning to trust humans. I love all the new things that I have learned about. I get good food, I have no more bugs biting me, I enjoy getting brushed, and my favorite is being massaged. Everyone is so nice and so patient because they know, I was just a Mom, trying to survive. I rest easy in a safe environment. The nice lady says although she loves me, I need to find a home where I can get all the attention I deserve and have missed out on all this time.
