I'm Athena, a sassy calico girl who acts and looks like a goddess. Found scrounging for food and abandoned in an apartment complex, I was rescued by a nice lady visiting a friend. I was eager for food and attention, and I'm now in search for my forever home! I am a bit slow to warm up at first, but once I do, I'm a total sweetheart. I like chin and neck rubs and will roll into head pets too. I can also be a bit spicy at times like a typical calico girl as I like to be in charge. But I will get along with other cats after proper introduction and time. Did someone say play?! Yes, I like to play too, climbing high on wall mounted shelves and up cat trees, leaping from place to place after string and wand toys. I can be a bit of a goofy gal and entertain from time to time. BEAUTIFUL SPLASHES OF COLOR  DOB 6/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Palette, a sweet, friendly, calm, and gentle calico whose gorgeous patches of peach and black on white reminded Foster Meowmy of an artist’s palette. Although I don’t jump on her lap, I do seek out Foster Meowmy’s attention and luxuriate when she scratches my ears, chin, and cheeks or gently strokes my back. When I was about five or six months old, I started showing up as a stray at Meowmy’s house and was thrilled when she started feeding me. She greeted me with such kind words that I knew I could trust her. Eventually I became brave enough to claim the back patio as my refuge from the dogs and cars in the front yard. Whenever she came out back, I would come up to greet her and invite her to pet me. The inevitable happened, however, and when she realized that I was pregnant, she scooped me up and brought me inside to stop the cycle of more stray cats and kittens in her neighborhood. When I was about ten months old, I birthed my #artist-colony litter of five kittens in the safe haven of my foster home. I’ve been an exemplary teenage momma – attentive, protective, and easygoing. I’m still young myself, though, so I enjoy interactive playtime when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room for me to chase. I even display my soccer skills when I bat my stuffed toys around the room. Sometimes I join my kits in their playing and chasing. I’d say that I definitely deserve and cherish moments during the day when I can grab my quiet time away from my kittens. Now that I’ve permanently retired from motherhood, I’m ready to bring my friendly poise and cheerful calmness to my forever family. WILL HALVE YOUR SORROWS AND DOUBLE YOUR JOYS  DOB 5/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Misty, a beautiful, sweet, playful dilute calico gal whose amiable personality radiates to everyone whom I meet. In fact, when I was spayed, the vet staff was impressed by how sweet I am. That my congeniality stands out is quite a compliment since they see a steady stream of kittens. I was found as a four-month old orphan kitten with no momma or siblings in sight. I’ll never tell, but Foster Meowmy thinks I must’ve been someone’s pet who got lost, escaped, or was abandoned. When she found me at her community cat feeding station in southwest Houston, I was hungry for both food and love, so I let her pick me up and carry me home. I made friends easily with my five foster mates, and I’m delighted to have a built-in “litter” because all of us orphans are about the same age! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other until we’re exhausted, and then we collapse in a kitten puddle. We love to chase each other through the cat tunnel, and I’m mesmerized when Foster Meowmy waves the flying-turkey-feather wand toy over my head for me to lunge at and wiggles it around the room for me to pounce on.
