Story
Pretty Patterned Pussycats Pursuing Potential Purrever Pads 🐾 Meet Patches, a beautifully patterned, fabulously fluffy lady 11 years young who believes life should be calm, cozy, and mostly quiet. She’s not here for drama or zoomies—she’s here for companionship, soft voices, and excellent vibes. Patches also enjoys her meals. Maybe a little too much. She currently shares a foster home with two skinny cats who like to remind her of that—but hey, Patches understands that someone has to finish the leftovers, right? Patches is a bit shy at first, but once she settles in, she enjoys gentle affection—especially back scratches, which she considers a top-tier experience. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a “sit nearby and supervise your life” kind of companion. While Patches is independent, she is affectionate in her own way, particularly around mealtime or Churu time! She does well with other cats and could share space with a polite, low-key dog who understands personal bubbles. Patches would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates a mellow feline friend and can help Patches achieve her 2026 resolution to eat a little less, move a little more, and find a forever home that’s just right. Could you be the one to make this the year of Patches’ comeback story? The adoption fee for Patches has been covered by a generous sponsor. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
ANNIE IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Annie Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 14 years old Best Guess for Breed: Calico Mix Weight: About 4 lbs Lives with and loves: All people (including kids!) Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. She has always been gentle with us, but we don't have first-hand experience on interactions with children.  Annie is chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations (September 2025 for all), and has had multiple senior panels performed.  If you think that Annie might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.March 8, 2026, 4:15 pm

Story
My name is Natalie, and at just under a year old, I am officially in my “young, fabulous, and ready to be adored” era. I’m on the lookout for a home that needs a stunning feline to lounge gracefully in the window — you know, the kind that makes the neighbors slow down just to admire me. I fully intend to be the cat that makes the whole world a little jealous. But beauty isn’t my only talent. I absolutely love attention. I’m the kind of girl who will happily soak up your affection, lean into your pets, and remind you daily that you made the best decision bringing me home. Whether I’m perched elegantly in a sunny spot, keeping you company while you unwind, or following you around just to be near you, I’m ready to be your sweet, devoted companion. If you’ve been searching for that perfect mix of charm, grace, and affectionate personality — I just might be your girl. For more information about adopting Natalie, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com I can’t wait to find my forever window… I mean, home. March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Philomenia loves humans and will shower you with affection. She loves to wind in and out of your legs..  Philomenia also enjoys having a human companion to watch her eat (it's a perfect meal mate date, but you have to cover the bill).  She loves to play with toys and will sit beside you for a short time—just make sure not to rub her flanks. Like most cats, she loves treats, and she enjoys sitting on the back of the sofa gazing out the window.  This is the purrfect spot to watch the birds.  You'll often find her waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, respecting your privacy.  Philomenia definitely values her 'me time,' so she would thrive best in a home as the only pet.  This beautiful lady is ready for her forever home.  We hope it will be with you.  To be consisdered for her forever family please contact Critter Cavalry at crittercavalry@comcast.net or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Hector and I’m ready to charm my way into your home and your heart! I’m a slender little tabby with a very cute face (so I’m told) and bright green eyes that I use to my full advantage. I love meeting new people. When you come say hi, I’ll instantly weave through your legs, give you a friendly head-butt, and then politely request pets. I have excellent manners. I’m not a full-time cuddler, but if you’re relaxing on the couch, I might surprise you by hopping up for a cozy snuggle. I spend most of my day napping but when I’m awake, I enjoy exploring the house and watching the world from a windowsill like the curious gentleman I am. I’m not very vocal, but I will chirp when I see food or when I wake from a really good nap. Speaking of food—open a can of wet food and I’ll magically appear. I love food. Playtime is also important to me. Teaser wands and spring toys are my favorites and bring out my playful side. Also, I may have a slight obsession with plastic bags, I love to lick and claw at them, so you'll need to keep those away from me. Loud noises, however, are not appreciated—especially the vacuum, hard pass. I can peacefully share a home with a calm, older dog. We won’t play, but I’m perfectly fine coexisting as long as I have my own space to retreat to. I’m also okay with gentle kids who understand and respect my boundaries. At night, I like to switch it up between my bed and under your bed but in the morning, I’ll quietly jump up and nestle next to you, wait patiently, and chirp a little hello once everyone starts stirring. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, low-key companion with adorable chirps, excellent head-butts, and a talent for quiet cuddles, I might just be your guy.   Adoption fee: $200, includes first 2 FVRCP vaccines, sterilized, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Edgar is a gorgeous boy with a shiny black coat. He was dropped off a partner shelter along with his siblings when his owner died and the husband decided that he no longer wanted to care for them.  So Edgar came to Fancy Cats to find a new home.  He was obviously very much loved in his previous home because he is a gentle affectionate boy who loves to cuddle.  He will make a wonderful family cat.  Sandy, one of the cats that he shared his previous home with, is currently at the Springfield PetSmart if you are interested in adopting another cat along with Edgar.  Edgar’s approximate birthdate is February 2020.  He is neutered, current on vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped. To adopt Edgar, please access the link: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat Adoption fee includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip Adoption fee: $200.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
