An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.  Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please! Cosette is a gorgeous little lady with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes. After being an amazing mama to her four kittens, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. This sweet girl enjoys lounging in her cat tree, keeping watch over the world like the tiny queen she is. In the evening, she loves to run after toy mice or balls that are thrown for her. It’s not quite a game of fetch, but maybe some day! She may be a little shy at first, but with patience and kindness, Cosette turns into a purring snuggler! She will happily join you on the sofa for pets and scratches under her chin. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 6:34 pm

Story
Meet Gigi 🐾 Gigi is a beautiful 5-year-old long-haired calico with a playful spirit and a big personality. She loves, loves, loves to play and will happily entertain you with her toys and zoomies. Gigi does not appear to be a fan of dogs, so a dog-free home would be ideal for her. She seems to be okay with other cats and could do well with a calm feline companion. She is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Please fill out an adoption application for Gigi at www.totherescueinc.org

Story
Pretty Patterned Pussycats Pursuing Potential Purrever Pads 🐾 Meet Patches, a beautifully patterned, fabulously fluffy lady 11 years young who believes life should be calm, cozy, and mostly quiet. She’s not here for drama or zoomies—she’s here for companionship, soft voices, and excellent vibes. Patches also enjoys her meals. Maybe a little too much. She currently shares a foster home with two skinny cats who like to remind her of that—but hey, Patches understands that someone has to finish the leftovers, right? Patches is a bit shy at first, but once she settles in, she enjoys gentle affection—especially back scratches, which she considers a top-tier experience. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a “sit nearby and supervise your life” kind of companion. While Patches is independent, she is affectionate in her own way, particularly around mealtime or Churu time! She does well with other cats and could share space with a polite, low-key dog who understands personal bubbles. Patches would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates a mellow feline friend and can help Patches achieve her 2026 resolution to eat a little less, move a little more, and find a forever home that’s just right. Could you be the one to make this the year of Patches’ comeback story? The adoption fee for Patches has been covered by a generous sponsor. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Cher! 💖 Cher is bursting with energy and joy and is always ready to turn an ordinary day into a fun-filled adventure. She loves to play and will happily entertain you with feather toys, chase games, and her signature zoomies. If you’re looking for a cat who keeps life lively, Cher is your girl. When playtime winds down, Cher switches gears and becomes a total cuddle bug. She adores cozy snuggles and soaking up affection, making her the perfect balance of playful and loving. Cher has tested positive for the regressive form of FeLV, but she is currently not symptomatic and is feeling great. She would do wonderfully as an only cat, where she can soak up all the attention, but her easy-going personality also means she could live with other FeLV-positive cats or healthy adult cats. Cher is ready to bring fun, love, and warmth into her forever home. Could that be with you? 🐾✨ Fill out a no-obligation cat adoption application today at https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ All of our cats are in foster homes. Story
ANNIE IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Annie Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 14 years old Best Guess for Breed: Calico Mix Weight: About 4 lbs Lives with and loves: All people (including kids!) Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. She has always been gentle with us, but we don't have first-hand experience on interactions with children.  Annie is chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations (September 2025 for all), and has had multiple senior panels performed.  If you think that Annie might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.January 11, 2026, 10:22 am

Story
Jesse James and Jerr Bear... these bonded brothers are not only very sweet and affectionate boys, they also know how to entertain. They enjoy playing with each other and with their other foster siblings. Jesse absolutely loves his spring toys and can entertain himself for quite a long time, and Jerry prefers the soft furry toys to carry around and play with. Although they are past the kitten stage at about 3 years old, you certainly can't tell it by how playful these boys are. Jesse is the more cuddly one where Jerry will come find you when he wants extra love and attention. They would do best in a quieter home without small children or dogs, since they have no experience with either. Older children and other cats are perfectly fine. If you are in the market for a pair of funny, entertaining and truly sweet boys, then these are your guys. Bonded pair adoption fee: $300, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Pink, the young and curious feline who once managed to sneak into a cheese factory. Enthralled by the smell, she found herself in a maze of cheese wheels. After a hilarious 'Tom & Jerry' escapade, she was found snoozing atop a Gouda. The factory owner, amused and astounded, had no choice but to send her to the shelter. Pink clearly has her PhD as she can open cupboard doors and some food containers and she is extra clever when she sees something she wants. Often times what she wants is to be on your shoulder. She loves to climb on your shoulders and just hang out or be your neck warmer in the cooler weather. She will purr away in your ear, give you kisses, and even style your hair. We believe this is how she won over the manager of the cheese factory she was found in.  Pink has a lot of energy and her kitty love Lazarus matches her energy like no other fella can. They wrestle, play, and cuddle all hours of the day. Since Lazarus arrived at her foster home, the cat crime report showed a drop in Pink's crime activity by 2.4%. it was determined Lazarus was the crime deterrent, so they have to be adopted together.   Being from Kuwait, Pink has adjusted to the weather over here pretty well, but she does need an allergy pill once a day to control her sneezing. Not being able to do anything without her love, Lazarus also needs to take a daily allergy pill, but both of them take it like a champ.   This dynamic duo of Pink and Lazarus must be adopted together and would do best in an active household.  Check out Pink & Lazarous at http://www.instagram.com/shannysfosters...
