Story
Pretty Patterned Pussycats Pursuing Potential Purrever Pads 🐾 Meet Patches, a beautifully patterned, fabulously fluffy lady 11 years young who believes life should be calm, cozy, and mostly quiet. She’s not here for drama or zoomies—she’s here for companionship, soft voices, and excellent vibes. Patches also enjoys her meals. Maybe a little too much. She currently shares a foster home with two skinny cats who like to remind her of that—but hey, Patches understands that someone has to finish the leftovers, right? Patches is a bit shy at first, but once she settles in, she enjoys gentle affection—especially back scratches, which she considers a top-tier experience. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a “sit nearby and supervise your life” kind of companion. While Patches is independent, she is affectionate in her own way, particularly around mealtime or Churu time! She does well with other cats and could share space with a polite, low-key dog who understands personal bubbles. Patches would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates a mellow feline friend and can help Patches achieve her 2026 resolution to eat a little less, move a little more, and find a forever home that’s just right. Could you be the one to make this the year of Patches’ comeback story? The adoption fee for Patches has been covered by a generous sponsor. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
ANNIE IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Annie Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 14 years old Best Guess for Breed: Calico Mix Weight: About 4 lbs Lives with and loves: All people (including kids!) Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. She has always been gentle with us, but we don't have first-hand experience on interactions with children.  Annie is chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations (September 2025 for all), and has had multiple senior panels performed.  If you think that Annie might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.March 8, 2026, 4:15 pm

Story
My name is Natalie, and at just under a year old, I am officially in my “young, fabulous, and ready to be adored” era. I’m on the lookout for a home that needs a stunning feline to lounge gracefully in the window — you know, the kind that makes the neighbors slow down just to admire me. I fully intend to be the cat that makes the whole world a little jealous. But beauty isn’t my only talent. I absolutely love attention. I’m the kind of girl who will happily soak up your affection, lean into your pets, and remind you daily that you made the best decision bringing me home. Whether I’m perched elegantly in a sunny spot, keeping you company while you unwind, or following you around just to be near you, I’m ready to be your sweet, devoted companion. If you’ve been searching for that perfect mix of charm, grace, and affectionate personality — I just might be your girl. For more information about adopting Natalie, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com I can’t wait to find my forever window… I mean, home. March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Philomenia loves humans and will shower you with affection. She loves to wind in and out of your legs..  Philomenia also enjoys having a human companion to watch her eat (it's a perfect meal mate date, but you have to cover the bill).  She loves to play with toys and will sit beside you for a short time—just make sure not to rub her flanks. Like most cats, she loves treats, and she enjoys sitting on the back of the sofa gazing out the window.  This is the purrfect spot to watch the birds.  You'll often find her waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, respecting your privacy.  Philomenia definitely values her 'me time,' so she would thrive best in a home as the only pet.  This beautiful lady is ready for her forever home.  We hope it will be with you.  To be consisdered for her forever family please contact Critter Cavalry at crittercavalry@comcast.net or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Meet Cheree Cheree knows exactly who she is, and she will not be apologizing for it. This gorgeous four-year-old beauty carries herself with the kind of confidence that can only come from a cat who has fully embraced her own fabulousness. She's plus-sized, she's stunning, and she is completely aware of both. She's currently working on her beach body — trading in the dry food she loves a little too much for a wet food diet — but don't let that fool you. Cheree is on her timeline, and she looks amazing either way. Life with Cheree is equal parts glamour and chill. She's not the type to follow you around begging for attention — she has standards. She'll spend her day holding down the window, monitoring the neighborhood, and logging some serious nap hours until you are ready to give her the attention she deserves. And when you finally sit down? She'll be right there, settling in beside you like the queen she is. Speaking of sitting down — Cheree is the ultimate TV companion. She has a particular fondness for the Real Housewives franchise, and honestly? She would fit right in. The drama, the glamour, the strong personalities — she gets it. She lives it. When the mood strikes, Cheree transforms into a playful, feisty girl who goes absolutely wild for a good wand toy session. She loves a good pet and will soak up affection on her own terms — which, frankly, is the only way worth doing it. Cheree is looking for a home where she can reign supreme — no other cats, please. She has no interest in sharing her crown. Older children are perfectly welcome in her kingdom, as long as they understand who is in charge. If you're looking for a low-drama, high-glamour companion who will keep you company on the couch and look absolutely fabulous doing it — Cheree is your girl. ✨ Apply now, darling. She's already reviewed your application and is cautiously optimistic.   Adoption fee includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip Adoption fee: $200.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Wendy — a curious, playful, and absolutely blossoming young girl who has been on quite the journey and come out the other side more wonderful than ever. Once upon a time this sweet girl was a little on the shy side, but those days are long gone. Wendy has fully come into her own, and what emerged from that shell is a cat so full of personality, playfulness, and charm that you simply cannot help but fall completely in love with her. Wendy's transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. The girl who once held back now dives headfirst into life with curiosity, confidence, and an enthusiasm that is truly contagious. She is living proof that sometimes the best things just need a little time to bloom — and bloom she absolutely has. When it comes to playtime, Wendy is not here to mess around. Hand her a wand toy and she will go full acrobat. Bring out the laser pointer and prepare for the most athletic and committed performance you have ever witnessed. And toy mice? Wendy has a particular and deeply satisfying approach to those — she will hunt them, catch them, and systematically relieve them of every bit of their fuzzy exterior. She means business and she is very, very good at it. Speaking of business — have you seen this girl climb? Wendy is an absolutely amazing climber who treats vertical space like her personal playground. Cat towers, shelves, the highest point in any room — Wendy has already scoped it out, claimed it, and is surveying her kingdom from above with the quiet pride of a seasoned explorer. Her curiosity drives her to investigate every corner, every new space, and every unknown with wide eyes and an adventurous spirit that is endlessly entertaining to watch. But Wendy isn't all zoomies and conquest. This girl has a soft and tender side that comes out beautifully at the end of a long day of adventures. She loves napping in bed, sleeping close to her favorite people, and curling up near her beloved feline companion. She has impeccable kitty manners, is wonderfully respectful of her environment, and is not destructive in the slightest — making her an absolute dream to live with. On quiet afternoons you'll find Wendy doing one of her favorite gentle activities — gazing out the window at the world going by, or playing with a string toy in that focused, meditative way that only cats can pull off. She is a cat of many dimensions and every single one of them is wonderful. Wendy absolutely loves other cats and needs a friendly feline companion to share her life with. She has shared a beautiful bond with her kitty mate Clarice, and thrives with a confident and social cat friend by her side. She brings out the best in her feline companions and they bring out the best in her. Wendy is a great fit for: ✅ Homes with at least one friendly and social cat (required!) ✅ Cat lovers who appreciate an active and playful companion ✅ Homes with cat trees, climbing spaces, and window views ✅ Anyone who loves a cat with a curious and adventurous spirit ✅ Families looking for a well-mannered and non-destructive kitty ✅ People who love watching a cat truly thrive and flourish Wendy came out of her shell and never looked back — now she's ready to bring all of that blossomed, beautiful energy into a forever home that will love her just as fiercely as she loves life. Come meet this incredible girl today. Story
Meet Chikwitin Say it with us: Chik-wi-tin. It's a big name for a big cat — and trust us, this boy delivers on every bit of it. This handsome two-year-old brown tabby is bursting with personality, packed with love, and ready to fill your home with warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of cat. Chikwitin is the kind of cat that makes you forget you're a cat person — because he acts just like a dog. He'll hear the door open and come running to greet you, tail up and ready to welcome you home. He'll follow you from room to room, plant himself at your feet, and settle into your lap like he was always meant to be there. Because honestly? He probably was. This big, beautiful boy is friendly, playful, and endlessly affectionate. He loves being wherever you are — doesn't matter if you're working, watching TV, cooking dinner, or just existing. Chikwitin simply wants to be part of it. He's the kind of companion that makes a house feel like a home the moment he walks through the door. Chikwitin holds a special place in our hearts here at Fancy Cat Rescue — he was the longest-residing cat in the shelter before we stepped in to give him a second chance. How a cat this loving, this fun, and this magnificent waited so long is beyond us. But his time is now, and he is so ready. If you're looking for a big boy with an even bigger heart — one who will love you loudly, loyally, and completely — Chikwitin is your guy. ✨ He's already saved you a spot on the couch.   Adoption fee includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip Adoption fee: $200.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
