Story
Brandi is a beautiful four year old mastiff mix. She is extremely loving to all people, but would prefer to be your only pet. She enjoys walking, car rides and meeting new people. Her ideal home would be with a family with older children, just because of her size and a fenced yard where she has room to run. She has no health issues, is medium level energy, housebroken, crate trained, spayed, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. Vet references and large breed experience a must.

Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
***Cane Corso or similar breed experience will only be considered*** Grace Age: 3-4 years old Breed: Cane Corso Size- Large – 80-95+ lbs Dogs: YesCats: TBDKids: No At 4 years young Grace has had a very rough start in life. Found dumped in a park with a harness embedded in her and two torn ACL’s, we can’t blame you Graceson for not liking most people. This beautiful girl loves to love, if you are in her circle you are in!! As if she didn’t already draw the short straw in life, Grace has some neurological issues. Her brain (more specifically cerebellum) isn’t fully grown and never will be, so please excuse her goofy gallop and gait walk. That doesn’t stop Grace from being the happy go lucky free spirit she is! Don’t worry her friends at MHS along with her medical team are keeping a close eye on her and though she may look like she’s struggling, Grace is living her best life and not in any pain! Grace is available for adoption at the Meriden Humane Society. If interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Ludo is a 5 month old Cane Corso/ American Bull dog mix. He is not neutered because his breed needs to be full grown to do so. If necessary it can be done currently due to his behavioral troubles. Ludo is a sweetheart and very doofy and insanely loving. Devastatingly, I have to rehome him or I must put him down. I have a full grown male dog at home and they have started to get into fights caused by territory and food. I also have 4 cats at home that stay upstairs, he is determined to attack them when they are spotted. This aggression has been rising day by day as he realizes his power and tries to be on top of the pack. I cannot afford his neutering or special aggression training classes. When I got Ludo I was given no information on him whatsoever, and he was thrown into my lap with a lot of issues. I have tried everything to give him all the love, care, attention and training I can but it is simply not enough. He is potty trained and crate trained and knows basic commands.

Yours truly, Rosco   THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AMAZING RESCUE DOGS - WE CAN’T WAIT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopt-a-dog.org. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. If a dog is still listed on Petfinder, we are still accepting applications for them!   *Name: Rosco *Age: 11 years *Current Weight: 90 lbs *Rescued from: Florida *Adoption fee: $300 *Health: Up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines so far (adopter will be responsible for remaining vaccinations if applicable), spayed/neutered , microchipped, dewormed *If the dog you are adopting is not yet spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, we require a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee (to be refunded upon proof of surgery within 6 months of adoption)     ** Please note that we are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. We encourage you to consider individual personality rather than relying on a label – meeting a dog in person is the best way to make sure it’s love!   FAQs: WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?: The first step in adopting an AAD dog is to fill out an application via our website www.adoptadog.org. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. We will also ask for additional information if needed (landlord or veterinarian contact information, or other based on your application). Once an application has been approved, we will schedule a mutually convenient time for a meet & greet! We do not operate on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the dog.   HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ADOPT?:  You must be age 25 or older to apply to adopt. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application.   HOW CAN I MEET THE ADOPTABLE DOGS?: Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match!   *If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail info@adoptadog.org! ##1303596##
