Story

We bought Stella thinking she was going to be our last baby. But surprise surprise our daughter was born end of last year. Stella is still not completely house trained and our baby is crawling around everywhere now. Stella will be two October 12th. But with work and the baby we cannot give Stella all the attention she requires. She really is great with kids, but she needs a lot of work with training.

NOVA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED! Nova is an absolute sweetheart with a heart as big as her paws! This beautiful Cane Corso has the most loving, gentle personality and is happiest when she’s with her people. Nova is 10 months old and weighs 75 pounds. She is kennel trained, knows her “sit” and “down” commands, and does wonderfully on and off leash. She minds well, listens to direction, and is eager to please. But what really makes Nova special is her loving personality—she’s the kind of dog who makes you feel like her favorite person from the moment you meet her. Nova is good around other dogs, cats, and children. Nova would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate, smart dog who is ready to continue learning and growing with her new family. Nova is ready to find her forever home! If you’re looking for a big-hearted girl with a beautiful soul, Nova may be the one you’ve been waiting for. She is fully vetted. Story

*CANE CORSO OR MASTIFF BREED TYPE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!* Meet our large and stunning Cane Corso boy named Baloo! We believe Baloo is between 4-5 years old and he came to our shelter after he was found wandering the streets alone very late at night. Baloo is a big hunk of a dog who is a mush ball when he knows you! He sits politely for a treat and he is quite gentle when taking them. He likes to get attention and loves a nice butt scratch or head pat. Baloo likes to follow us around our backyard and he comes to us when we call for him. He is a good eater, but he can be quite the drooly boy! We would prefer Baloo goes to a home that has experience with Cane Corsos or other Mastiff type breeds. He seems fine with other dogs and he can go to a home with children 12 years old and older who have experience with large dogs. If you are interested in adopting Baloo Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $100.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🍬 Meet Candy Cane! Candy Cane is a 12-week-old female Cane Corso puppy with a big personality, a big heart, and an already impressive 32-pound frame! She appears to be a purebred Cane Corso and is growing into a beautiful, intelligent, and confident girl. Candy Cane loves people and is happiest when she can be involved with her humans. She’s incredibly smart and already understands a surprising amount of human language. She’s playful, curious, and eager to learn, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys spending time training, playing, and building a bond with their dog. She’s also off to a fantastic start with her manners! Candy Cane is crate trained, almost completely house trained, and walks beautifully both on and off leash. For such a young puppy, she’s showing an amazing ability to learn and take direction. Because she’s an energetic, playful puppy, Candy Cane would love a home where she has another friendly, playful dog to romp around with, or an active human who enjoys playing and keeping a young dog mentally and physically engaged. Candy Cane is looking for someone who will continue guiding her as she grows into the wonderful adult dog she’s clearly destined to become. She has the intelligence, affection, and personality to be an incredible lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, playful puppy who wants to be your best friend, Candy Cane may be your girl! 🍬🐾❤️

***Cane Corso or Similar Breed Experience Required*** Name: Mama Breed: Cane CorsoAge: 3+ years oldKids: Over 12Cats: TBDDogs: SelectiveMeet the lady of the hour, the mama of our Corso Crew. Mama joined the MHS family shortly after her puppies were surrendered to us and has been ready for her forever home ever since! This beautiful big girl, weighing in at 120 pounds, is as strong as she is sweet and absolutely loves her people! Mama walks wonderful on a leash, knows all her basic commands, and is as loyal as they come! This lady loves people, but in typical Corso style will look to her people to be sure that new friends are okay. Mama is super smart but also has the total goofball personality, so we are saying kids over 12, because Mama loves to play and jump on her people when excited. Two of Mama's favorite things are rolling over for belly rubs and her stuffed animal toys! We are requiring a home with prior Cane Corso or similar breed experience.Mama is UTD on her vaccinations, is microchipped and spayed. If you are interested in Mama, please fill out an application today!Note, Mama is only available for adoption to CT residents. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
