Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Story
Nala's Story Introducing Nala – A Courageous and Affectionate Girl Nala was rescued from a heartbreaking situation alongside her mother and siblings, and she is now seeking a patient, experienced adopter to support her healing and growth journey. Her enthusiasm for life makes everyone around her feel cherished. When she’s not racing around in the yard, she loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch. At 2 years old, Nala has spent nearly a year at Almost Home and has recently transitioned to a foster home with her brother, Blue. She is progressing well with housebreaking and obedience training, is crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Nala enjoys playing with Blue, chewing on bones, and snuggling on the couch. While she can be timid around new experiences, people, and sounds—especially her nemesis, the vacuum—she will warm up to you given time. Once you earn her trust, she will be a devoted companion for life. What Nala Needs: • A calm, stable home where she can feel secure and relaxed • An adopter dedicated to positive reinforcement training • A home without children • A fenced-in yard (6 feet or taller) Nala is full of potential and deserves a second chance with someone who understands that love, patience, and consistency are essential for her to thrive.

Sheeba & Annubus (Bonded Pair)'s Story Meet Annubus and Sheeba! A bonded pair of stunning Cane Corsos looking for a forever home together! Annubus and Sheeba are a pair of 2 year old Cane Corsos who came to us after a change in their family’s living situation. These two were very well cared for and it shows. Not just in their beautiful appearance, but in their gentle and loving personalities. Annibus, a neutered male, is respectful and calm. Despite his impressive size, he’s a gentle soul who loves being close to his people. Sheeba, a spayed female, is sweet, loyal, and did wonderfully living with young children in her previous home. She’s dog selective but absolutely adores her brother, and the two share a strong, inseparable bond. Because of how close they are, we’re looking for a home where Annibus and Sheeba can stay together. They balance each other perfectly and will make a loyal, loving addition to an experienced Cane Corso home. Breed experience and a meet and greet with any resident dogs are required to ensure the best match. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this amazing duo, apply today at almosthomeli.org.
