Meet lovely Lulu — a gentle soul in need of a second chance. Lulu came to the shelter as a lost dog on 4/21, and heartbreakingly, no one has come looking for her. This beautiful girl is feeling a bit scared and shut down in the noisy shelter environment, which is completely understandable. Even so, her sweet nature shines through. Beneath that timid exterior is a kind, gentle dog who simply needs a peaceful place to exhale and feel safe again. We truly believe Lulu will blossom in a calm, loving home once she has the chance to decompress and settle in. One thing that already makes her tail wag? Treats! Lulu takes them so politely and will sit like a perfect lady in hopes of earning another. Lulu has tested positive for heartworms, which makes finding her an adopter or foster especially urgent when the shelter is overcrowded. But heartworm disease is treatable, and with proper veterinary care Lulu can go on to enjoy many happy, healthy years ahead. Shelter staff can also talk with you about a foster-to-adopt option while she receives treatment. Right now, Lulu doesn’t need perfection — she just needs someone willing to believe in her. Lizzie is very sweet. She gets along with other dogs and attends playcare. She does play rough with her much bigger brother. She is 85 lbs he is 145 lbs.Lizzie has some separation anxiety and needs to be crated when home alone. She has lots of energy and needs an active family. Another fur sibling or older kids who can play with her would be great. She is housebroken for the most part but must be watched for signs of having to go to the bathroom. She is not good with chickens but I'm not sure about cats. She was part of a cruelty case so alot of her behaviors stem from that. I am a disabled vet and cannot give her the exercise she needs and my 15 yr old furbaby has recently passed away with cancer. I also have a special needs son. I will need to meet potential adopters and do home visits as well. As a stipulation if you can't keep her you return her. I will need records from your current vet as well as references that can be contacted. I love her but I can't give her what she needs.

Lizzy is a great dog. She is very friendly and very smart. She taught herself to open my storm door. She is great on a leash and housebroken and crate trained. Lizzy is high energy and would do best in a home with an active family or one who is home all day. She suffers from separation anxiety but has come a long way. I recently had to go back to work and due to medical issues I cannot give her the exercise she needs. It has been having a negative effect on her. I will need prior vet records, meet and greet and all special points that if you decide you don't want her after adopting her you return her to me.

We are currently looking for a new home for our four-year-old Bullmastiff, Victoria. She is a gentle giant - sweet, friendly, and very affectionate with people. We have truly enjoyed having her as part of our family for the past four years. As we are expecting our first grandchild, we have concerns regarding her size and energy level. Victoria is often unaware of her own strength and tens to jump when she gets excited. For this reason, we fell it is best to find her a home that would be a better fit as we prepare for the new baby.
