Dog's Name: Gracie Location : Montgomery, IL Age or Date of Birth: July 2021 (estimate)Gender: FemaleBreed: Cane Corso MixFoster Dog's Weight: 83 lbs Gracie gets along with:Dogs?: Most female dogs and all gender puppies Needs a slow introduction to other dogs.Cats?: Unknown but unlikely due to prey driveKids?:  Yes - would do best with slow introduction Meet Gracie – A Loyal Heart Looking for Her Safe Place Gracie is a deeply loyal and loving girl with so much affection to give to the right person. She loves to cuddle with her owner and thrives in a calm, stable environment where she can feel secure and understood. While Gracie has had difficult experiences with other dogs in the past, but she also loves playingwith her foster sister.  They do occasionally play rough.  Gracie does shine as an only pet, forming incredibly strong bonds with her humans and offering unwavering devotion.   New situations and busy environments can be overwhelming for Gracie, so she’s searching for a quiet home with an experienced adopter who understands guardian breeds and is committed to continuing her training with patience and consistency. Her protective nature makes her an excellent companion for someone seeking a devoted, one-on-one connection. Gracie does love chewing and needs to be kenneled or in an enclosed room when left alone.  She is muzzle trained for unfamiliar environments which helps her feel safe in unfamiliar situations.  It's important her future family is comfortable continuing this practice.  Gracie does love chewing and would need to be kenneled or in an enclosed room when left alone. Gracie isn’t looking for a social life—she’s looking for her person. Someone who will respect her boundaries, appreciate her loyalty, and give her the peaceful home she deserves. In return, she’ll be your fiercest protector and most loyal friend.  She will do best in a home with guardian breed experience.  Her adopter needs to be patient and allow her to adapt to her new environment at her own pace.  Gracie can be around children as long as they are old enough to understand and respect her boundaries. Gracie would be fine alone or in a house with another non-dominant medium or larger breed female (can be a puppy), but would not do well with smaller breeds as she sees them as prey. Gracie would be best suited in a yard that is fenced or where she would have constant supervision as she does have a prey drive for smaller animals. Story
*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Hi, I’m Blue, a sweet senior Cane Corso looking for my forever home. I may be getting up there in age, but I still love to play tug and fetch, and I’m always up for some attention and cuddles. I`m a bit of a drooler—but I promise I make up for it with love! I’m housetrained and will bark or whine when I need to go out. I know `sit,` and I’m crate-trained too. I get along well with other dogs but would like to meet any new dog friends before coming home with them. I’m a loyal guy who just wants someone who understands my breed and knows how to handle a protective pup like me. If you’ve got experience with guard dogs and a heart big enough for a gentle giant, I’d love to meet you. Let’s find out if we’re meant to be!
