Story
Chief is an approximately 1 year old male Corso/Mastiff mix who arrived to us as a stray and was not reclaimed by an owner. Chief is a big boy at 80 lbs (still could gain some weight, and likely has growing to do). We can best describe Chief as BOISTEROUS, as he pretty much bounces and runs everywhere he goes here. He is looking for a home with a person or family who will both nurture his happy puppy side, while providing structure, boundaries and training to make him the best dog he can be. Breed/size experience is a plus! We aren't sure about housetraining, and he appears to need work on that -- but being in a kennel, it is hard to tell how he will be in a home. He would do best in a home without cats/small animals at this time, and due to his size and energy levels, we would recommend older or no children. He appears to be somewhat dog friendly, and homes with dogs would need to have their dogs meet Chief before proceeding to make sure it would be a good match. Chief has been recently neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $150. Please come to the shelter to meet this sweet boy, if interested, and call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov

Story
Hi, I’m Iggy and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Iggy Location: Plano, IL Date of Birth: 5/1/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Color: Black Dog's Weight: Approximately 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: Yes Cats?:  Unknown Kids?:  Yes, older kids Training: Leash trained: Were working on it Crate/Kennel: Were working on it Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Rides well in car Meet Iggy! Iggy is a big, energetic boy with a whole lot of puppy still left in him. He is extremely strong, enthusiastic, and full of life—and he’s learning more every day about how to channel that energy in positive ways. While he doesn’t quite realize his size yet, he is actively working on his manners, including learning not to jump or use his mouth when he’s excited. The good news? He listens well and is making steady progress with consistent guidance. Iggy thrives when he has a chance to burn off energy, especially by playing with another dog. Having a canine companion has helped him tremendously, and his excitement becomes much more manageable once his activity needs are met. He is house-trained and knows to go potty outside, though at his young age he still benefits from more frequent breaks. At night, Iggy is continuing to adjust to crate training. While he currently finds it challenging, he is showing improvement each day and becoming more accepting with patience and routine. During the workday, he does very well—when left loose in a room, he does not chew or destroy anything. Iggy will do best in an active home that understands large, energetic dogs. A family with older children is recommended due to his size and strength. He would greatly benefit from having another dog to help burn off energy and provide companionship. A fenced yard or commitment to regular exercise will be ideal. While he may not be the best fit for a first-time giant breed owner, someone willing to continue his training and provide structure will be rewarded with a loyal, fun-loving companion. Iggy is a work in progress with a big heart—and with the right home, he’s going to be an amazing dog. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Story
Hi, I’m Rafferty. I am ready to find my forever home! Dog’s Name: Rafferty Location: Green Bay, WI Date of Birth: 06/01/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Mix Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 85 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?: Unknown Kids?: Older kids or giant breed experienced younger kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel with a treat as an incentive Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Doesn't like getting in the car, but rides well once in. Meet Rafferty! Rafferty’s personality is truly shining. This sweet giant-breed puppy is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He has bursts of puppy energy filled with zoomies and toy time, followed by his favorite activity—curling up on the couch for cuddles. Rafferty is learning his puppy manners and is doing well with redirection as he figures out what is appropriate to nibble on (and what is not). He loves toys, enjoys interacting with people, and has gotten along wonderfully with everyone he has met. True to his affectionate nature, Rafferty is a big fan of giving kisses and soaking up attention. Rafferty will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a growing giant-breed puppy. Because of his size and breed characteristics, prior giant-breed experience is recommended. His adopter should be prepared to continue basic puppy training, including reinforcing good manners and helping him grow into his large body. He would do well in a home that can provide: Consistent structure and positive reinforcement training Plenty of interaction, enrichment, and supervised play Space to move and play (a fenced yard is a bonus, but not required with proper exercise) Rafferty may enjoy having another friendly dog in the home but would also be perfectly happy as the center of attention. He is suitable for a committed, patient adopter who is ready to guide him through puppyhood and into a well-mannered adult. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and cuddly companion with a heart as big as his paws, Rafferty may be your perfect match. Story
*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Murphy is a young adult with a heart full of love—he just takes a little time to show it. Found as a stray, Murphy is still learning what it means to be a dog and would love a patient, kind person to help him discover how wonderful life can be. He may be cautious at first, but once he feels safe and trusts you, he transforms into the most loyal, playful, and affectionate friend you could ask for. He loves to play, enjoys cuddle time, and is eager to form a deep bond with someone special. Murphy would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who can offer patience and encouragement as he continues to build confidence. He loves other dogs and needs a home with a canine sibling! If you’re ready to guide him on his journey and gain a devoted best friend in return, Murphy is waiting to meet you! **We did a DNA test on Murphy and he is a mix of Neapolitan Mastiff, Belgian Malinois, Cane Corso, Rottweiler, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier... what a handsome mutt!
