Meet Luna Moon Luna Moon is a 10‑month‑old Presa Canario, weighing about 75 lbs and she is every bit as amazing as her name suggests. She was owner‑surrendered to ACCT Philly when her family no longer had the time for her, and once we met her, we knew we had to step in - she was simply too awesome to pass up. According to her previous family, Luna is sweet, energetic, and lived in a home with kids. In our care, she has been nothing short of wonderful. Luna is happy, wiggly, affectionate, and full of extra‑large puppy energy. She loves people, adores our volunteers, and is known for enthusiastically jumping up to give hugs (yes, we know—bad manners—but it’s hard not to smile at a good hug). Luna Moon is still very much a big puppy, learning how to navigate the world with her growing body and guardian‑breed instincts. She’s looking for a home with experience in guardian breed dogs, someone who can continue guiding her with structure, training, and love as she matures into the incredible dog she’s meant to be. Ribeye is learning what love, patience, and safety feel like, and he’s making progress every day. He can be a little timid at first and may submissively pee when he sees a leash, but his foster has been working with him and he’s already improving. What he needs most is someone who understands that trust takes time—and is willing to give him that space to grow. Once Ribeye warms up, his true personality shines through. He is a total attention seeker and loves being close to his person. He’s also the zoomie king 👑 and would absolutely love a yard where he can run, stretch his legs, and show off his full-speed happiness. Because Ribeye loves his people so much, he prefers not to share the spotlight with other dogs and would do best as the only pet in the home. Meet Angel — a big, beautiful girl with an equally beautiful heart. Formerly known as Shenzi, she was surrendered back to her breeder, and when no one wanted a “used dog,” rescue stepped in to give her the fresh start she deserves. Angel is powerful yet incredibly sweet and gentle, with the softest expression — which is exactly how she earned her new name. She quickly bonded with her foster dad and has become a total velcro dog. She also fit right in with the resident pack and can usually be found snuggled up beside them. She gets a little excited at the start of walks but settles nicely and is nonreactive around other dogs. Angel does have some separation anxiety and can be vocal, but she is making steady progress with consistency and patience. We would love to find Angel her forever home soon… mostly because we’re pretty sure her foster family is dangerously close to foster failing, and then their pack may be too full to help future fosters in need.

Jellybean was found tied to a fence at one of our local shelters. He is learning to trust again and can be easily won over with peanut butter. With that being said, Jellybean has one disclaimer "There must be an endless supply of PB or he will not allow you to adopt him. No negations." Jellybean is laid back, great with kids, dogs, cats, chickens. He plays gently and shows no aggression. He also listens well. What a gem!
