Story
Diesel is a 1 year old neutered male cane corso mix who weighs 70 pounds. This handsome guy was rescued as part of a humane case and he is a gentle giant. Typical to his breed, we believe that he will be protective of his home. He is a giant puppy that loves to run around, play with toys and he has tested good with other dogs. Diesel walks on a leash, is ok in the crate and loves treats. Story
I've had her since she was about 3 months old. She's healthy and well adjusted except for an issue with dog aggression that was recently noticed. She's a year old, born March, 2023. She weighs 85 pounds and would make a great and loving pet for someone who has the time, patience and acceptable living conditions afford her a happy home.I'm rehoming here due to the fact that I have health issues that would prohibit me from handling a pet of her size and give her the proper care and exercise she needs. I will only redone her to a good, loving home. I will require veterans references from anyone who feels they can give her the home she needs.

Story
MARVEL is a 5 yr old Italian Mastiff (Cane Corso) who came to us after she became protective of her family in their home. Marvel is a victim of Covid-19. With the shelter in place order, her family was not able to properly socialize her and she grew up as a “big fish in a little pond”. Her family had many special needs children and medical care professionals needed to visit the home during the pandemic. They arrived wearing masks and Marvel thought that was very scary and began to protect the children from these masked strangers. The family called in a trainer but, due to the circumstances, everything was a little overwhelming for them. We acquired her on the day she was to be euthanized. Marvel has been fine with us. With a handful of treats she warms up quickly to our volunteers. We did have one incident with an unannounced visitor who approached her quickly and the result was a bite. In a home she may revert to her protectiveness so we are looking for a family with Cane Corso experience - walking the line between socialization and keeping her safe. Cane Corsos were originally war dogs during the Roman empire and used for protection - it is ingrained in their DNA. They have also been used for drafting and droving cattle – IE they need a job to do. Just sitting around the house twiddling their thumbs is a recipe for disaster which is what got Marvel into the situation in the first place. We have paired Marvel with playful young male dogs and they do well together with supervision (Marvel tends to play rough and takes the upper hand). We feel that she could work out in a home with a well-adjusted male dog to show her appropriate dog behavior or as an only pup. Not cat compatible. Marvel can fly over a 4 foot fence so 6 foot privacy fencing is ideal. If you are the home that we are looking for, please fill out an application at www.CompAnimals.org. Marvel is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Adoption $300.April 28, 2024, 9:24 pm

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Tank This sweet, big baby wandered up to a house a couple months back, skin and bones, horrible skin, just in very bad shape all around. Thankfully, some kind folks agreed to foster him and he is doing much better now, although he still has some healing to do. He appears to be middle aged- maybe 5 or so. He is very friendly and sweet natured. He does well with other dogs, but is not a good candidate for a home with cats. He is house trained and Crate trained and is a very smart boy, learning new concepts with ease. We believe he may be a Cane Corso mix and he weighs about 65-70 pounds. We have had him neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations. He was heartworm negative and has been placed on monthly prevention. This sweet guy needs a home to rest and continue healing. He is so affectionate and kind hearted, with an incredibly sweet spirit and endless amounts of love, despite what he's been through. Can anyone out there offer him the loving home that he so desperately wants and deserves? Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Walter, the gentle giant here! I'm about 6 years old and a whopping 106 pounds. I came to the shelter from a rescue after I was surrendered by my lifelong owner. I would love to find a home where I can be the furry center of attention, so no other dogs or cats, but don't worry - I can go for walks and am the bestest boy as long as they're not jumping on my face with their puppy craziness! If you're looking for a large hunk of love who is well versed in being a best friend, please come scoop me up from this loud place. I can't wait to retire with you!   Have Room in Your Home? Welcoming in a pet saves your new pet's life and creates space for another pet to get a chance! Not sure if Walter would be the best fit for you? Send in a generic app! Our team will work with you to find a pet to best fit your lifestyle! You will go home with a starter bag of food, one month of flea and heartworm prevention, and also have 90 DAYS of training help included with your adoption, if needed!
