Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Shiva! Shiva is a one-year-old, 72 lb Cane Corso with a beautiful silver-blue coat, piercing gold eyes, and a heart full of love. She’s sweet, affectionate, and loyal to her people, with all the potential in the world to grow into an incredible dog with the right leadership. She has done well with other dogs in our care and would thrive in a home with another balanced dog to help maintain her social skills and give her a healthy outlet for play. If she’s an only dog, her future family must be committed to ongoing socialization to ensure she stays friendly, confident, and doesn’t become overly protective or reactive. Shiva is smart, picks up on routine quickly, and is at a very impressionable stage of development. She’ll need adopters who are ready to continue her basic obedience, reinforce structure, and shape her into a respectful and well-mannered dog. She walks well on leash but is strong, strong-willed, and sometimes stubborn—so large breed or Cane Corso experience is a must. Her ideal home will provide her with proper exercise, consistent structure, and a predictable routine. She has not been tested with cats or children. Shiva is going to make a phenomenal companion for the right home—one that understands the responsibility of raising a powerful breed with intention, respect, and love. In return, Shiva will give her whole heart and become the loyal, loving dog she’s meant to be. Shiva is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Story
Brandy is a kind of dog who instantly makes a room feel brighter when she walks into it. Her sweet personality and happy presence has a way of making everyone feel like her favorite person. Brandy is a two-year-old cane Corso with a heart as big as she is. She absolutely loves people and thrives being around them. No matter if she’s playing relaxing or just hanging out next to you, she’s happiest with her humans. She’s affectionate without being overwhelming and has a wonderful balance of playful energy and relaxing qualities. Check out her YouTube video https://youtu.be/irq7E7eI1KY?si=rzMh2fIzKywbNLLE She is incredibly social with other dogs and loves all dogs, especially enjoying playtime with those who have a medium energy level for enjoys roaming and playing, but it’s just happy to settle down and relax when she had her fun. She would do great with another dog in the home- maybe a more submissive aloof dog but she would also be great as an only dog. Brandy is fairly well on a leash, sometimes she gets a little excited and pulls, because of this she would do best with an owner who can handle her strength. Brandy would love to have a yard to play in. She should not go into a home with cats. She finds them way too interesting. Brandy also adores toys and treats, treats in particular seem to be her love language and it’s safe to say they’re one of her favorite things . Despite her playful nature, she has a gentle side, especially with kids. She does very well with children and handle their excitement, energy with patience and grace. Because she is a big girl and will jump quite a bit especially for treats I think for now she would do best in a home with an older kid maybe 12 and up! Brandy would make a wonderful addition into a home with people who want loyal, loving, and companion one who is always ready to play, relax and simply be by your side . Story
Meet Piper, the smiley, squishy-faced lovebug who seems physically incapable of not being adored. From the second you meet her, she’s all in, leaning her whole body into you for hugs, nudging for booty rubs, and flashing that absolutely ridiculous underbite that makes her look permanently thrilled to be alive. She doesn’t need much time to warm up because honestly, she assumes you’re already best friends. Ear scratches? Yes please. Attention? More please. All of it? Definitely. We think Piper is a Cane Corso/ Boxer mix and she’s about 2 years young! And don’t be fooled, despite her Corso face, she’s on the smaller side! She is pure squishy faced perfection if you ask me! Watch her video here! https://youtu.be/D3Js06rzmco?si=YkZQpeeb0NwHhINa Piper is a total social butterfly with dogs and lives for a good romp. She’s playful, confident, and brings big “play play play!” energy to her doggy friendships. She loves to tumble, chase, zoom, and wrestle, and does best with dogs who enjoy rough-and-rowdy fun but also know how to take breaks so the party doesn’t go on forever. She’s been great with a variety of play styles, from goofy gals who love chase to more laid-back dudes who pop in and out of play, because Piper truly does not discriminate, if you’re a dog, she’s probably into you. She would absolutely love a yard for epic zoomie sessions, but apartment life isn’t out of the question as long as her people are active and excited to take her on walks, outings, and adventures. She’s smart, eager, and very trainable, even if she’s currently more interested in everything happening around her than showing off perfect leash skills. As for cats, Piper says that’s a no! She finds them way too interesting, so a cat-free home will be her happy place. With kids, Piper has the potential to be a wonderful family dog because she’s incredibly gentle, sweet, and people-loving, but she does have a habit of giving enthusiastic “hugs” when she’s excited. Because of that, we’ll definitely want to do a kid test before saying for sure, just to make sure everyone’s set up for success. Add in her affectionate nature, joyful personality, and cartoon-level cuteness, and you’ve got a dog who feels like pure happiness wrapped in a wiggly, tan body. Piper isn’t just a good girl, she’s a whole experience, and she’s ready to bring nonstop love, laughter, and zoomies to her forever home. 💕 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
