FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Ozzie is a ~5 year old, 140lb, Cane Corso. He came to us with Queenie, the female Boerboel, and ideally we would like to adopt them out together as a bonded pair! If they are adopted separately, they will need another large calm dog of the opposite sex in the home. Ozzie was an owner surrender and is such a loving boy who desperately wants to be in a home again. The kennel environment has been stressful for him and he greatly relies on Queenie for comfort. He bonds deeply to his people and his dog companion and is very affectionate and sweet. He does well on walks but is very strong, so will require adopters that can handle his size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. Ozzie has done well around other dogs in our care and we are continuing to socialize and get to know him better. Apply if you are experienced and looking are looking for a giant lovable boy, or duo! Ozzie is a wonderful boy and will make his forever family very happy! Ozzie is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Queenie has been a little more stressed in the kennel environment than Ozzie and could really benefit from a calm and loving home to help her decompress. She does well on walks but is very strong, and has a prey drive, so will require adopters that can handle her size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. We are continuing to socialize and evaluate Queenie’s dog socialization, but she is not good with small dogs or cats. He came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been waiting for his forever home with us for 3 years! His perfect home would have a chill, steady, and peaceful environment. Orion walks well on a leash but can be strong and will need a family with good dog-handling skills. He is crate trained and finds comfort in a regular routine. Breed experience is required for his adopter. This big guy is looking for a quieter forever home outside of city-life. He will need a single-family detached home in a suburban or rural neighborhood. He would LOVE a large, securely fenced yard as well to roam and be with his people. In the summertime he would enjoy laying around in the sun! He can be dog selective and has shown to be friendly with submissive females but would do best as an only dog soaking up all the attention!
