FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Rock! He is a beautiful and sweet 90lb, ~2 yo, Cane Corso/Rottweiler/Lab mix. He came to us from California in hopes of finding his forever family! Rock is an all around awesome dog! He is friendly, goofy, playful, and a good time! He is a very strong boy, so will need adopters who are experienced with large breeds and can handle him. Rock has a great demeanor, and life-of-the-party personality. He loves people, making new friends, and dogs too! He has done great with dogs in our care and is playful. He can be a little vocal and excited when meeting dogs for the first time, but he just wants to say hello! Rock will thrive in a home that can continue basic obedience, and be social with him. He enjoys walks, meeting people, attention and treats! Since Rock is a big and bouncy boy, we are recommending older kids. He could knock over or accidentally hurt a small child due to his size. He is not tested with cats. Rock is neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Elka! Elka is a 5-year-old, 99 lb Cane Corso who came to us from an overcrowded shelter, and this big beautiful girl is ready to find someone who will love her as much as she loves her people! Elka is incredibly sweet and affectionate with the people she trusts. Her favorite place may just be with her giant head resting in your lap while she soaks up all the love and attention she can get. She is treat motivated, takes treats gently, and already knows her sit and down. She is a smart girl who is eager to please and will thrive with a family that enjoys continuing her training. Elka has done well with other dogs, although she prefers slow, thoughtful introductions so everyone has time to get comfortable. She would enjoy having a compatible canine companion, but she would also be perfectly happy being someone’s one and only and getting all the love for herself. Either way, she’ll benefit from continued positive socialization. At nearly 100 pounds, Elka is a strong girl and is still working on her leash manners. She’ll need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a large, powerful breed and is willing to continue working with her on her walking skills. A home with large-breed or Cane Corso experience would be ideal. Elka has not been tested with cats, so a home without cats would be recommended at this time. If you’re looking for a big, loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her people, Elka may be your perfect match! Elka is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Ozzie! Ozzie is a ~5 year old, 140lb, Cane Corso. He came to us with Queenie, the female Boerboel, and ideally we would like to adopt them out together as a bonded pair however they can be adopted separately as well. Ozzie was an owner surrender and is such a loving boy who desperately wants to be in a home again as the kennel environment has been stressful for him. He bonds deeply to his people and his dog companion and is very affectionate and sweet. He does well on walks but is very strong, so will require adopters that can handle his size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. Ozzie has done well around other dogs in our care and we are continuing to socialize him. Apply if you are experienced and looking are looking for a giant lovable boy, or duo! Ozzie is a wonderful boy and will make his forever family very happy! Ozzie is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
