Story
Skippy (A140488) is a 2-year-old DMH who weighed 9.78 pounds on intake!12/04/25 This shy boy is Skippy! Skippy was surrendered to the shelter with his housemate Junior. However, it was unclear if they are friends or just coexisted. Both of these boys have been using their litter boxes since arriving at the shelter and have had healthy appetites. They are both extremely shy, and while they tolerate being handled do not seem to overly enjoy it. They are both looking for a patient home that can help them each come out of their shells and feel at ease. They do not have experience with children or many people. They would most likely do best in a quiet and calm home setting. Providing him with plenty of hidy spaces is also important. Both Junior and Skippy were treated with Bravecto for ear mites once they arrived at the shelter. We encourage their next owner to recheck with their vet if they do have any follow-up concerns. If you are interested in meeting Skippy and feel that you can meet his needs, please let us know! December 4, 2025, 9:22 pm

Story
12/06/25 Mister Clyde, formerly known as Heath is back at the shelter after his most recent owner discovered the toddler in the house was causing him too much stress. Clyde is a very outgoing and playful cat (he even plays fetch)! However, he does not like the noise and chaos that children bring. He was said to do well with older children that know how to respect boundaries. We recommend Clyde go to a home without small children. Clyde has previously bitten a toddler that was being too rough with him. Clyde was said to tolerate sharing a house with a dog, but only if the dog left him alone. He did arrive with another neutered male cat that he was said to get along with. If you are interested in meeting Clyde, please give us a call!05/13/22 This hunky kitty is Heath! Heath came to the shelter as a stray so we don't have any prior information on him. Here at the shelter he has been an absolute gem! Heath loves attention from his animal tenders and enjoys being petted. He can be a bit vocal if you are in the room and not paying him the attention he feels he deserves! Heath came to the shelter with pretty dirty ears and was treated for ear mites. His second dose of topical treatment should be given on 5/23. Heath should be kept separate from other animals until he has his second dose to prevent the spread of ear mites. Heath has done excellent at using his litterbox at the shelter and has had a very healthy appetite! Heath eats primarily dry food but LOVES when his animal tenders give him canned food! Since he was a stray we do not know how he does with other animals or children. Please make sure to do introductions with new people and animals in a slow, safe, and controlled environment. We would also like to remind the public that the outdoors is a dangerous place for our kitty friends and that the leash law applies to them too. Please keep your kitties inside, on a harness, or in a secure catio! If this love bug sounds like the kitty for you please give the shelter a call!December 8, 2025, 8:18 pm

Story
Ward (A140452) is a 10-year-old DLH who weighed just under 11 pounds on intake!12/06/25 This handsome guy is Ward! Ward arrived at the shelter as a stray and did not have an owner come forward. While at the shelter, Ward has been an absolute delight! He has loved soaking up all the care staff's attention, and he has really eased into the routine. Ward has been reliably using his litter box while at the shelter. We do not know for sure how he feels about other animals, such as dogs or other cats. Please use caution if planning to introduce him to a household with other pets. If you are interested in meeting Ward, please give us a call!December 8, 2025, 9:47 pm
