Story
Misty and Momo (Mistoffelees and Guillermo) are the absolute loves of my life. I have unfortunately had to move out of state due to mental health issues, and my parents are unable to care for them any longer, so they need an amazing new loving home. They must be in a home together. They are respectively 9 and 8 years old, and are the sweetest cats you will ever meet. Misty is shy at first, but once she warms up to you she is an absolute purring and snuggling machine! She loves finding little spots to hide and sleep in, but is also just as happy sleeping on your lap or chest. Momo is so sweet and hilarious! He’s a big talker, and loves playing with any type of toy, but almost just love sitting and being scratched on the back. They’re both very laid-back, and independent and good at being left on their own for periods of time, but also just need a loving family to live with and love with! They are great around kids, just a bit shy, but they are too anxious to go in a home with dogs.

Story
Cat in the Hat came in with sister Kiki. They came from house that already had too many cats. The siblings are not bonded but are good with other cats and dogs. These 3-year-olds are both good natured, with Cat in the Hat being a bit shyer but we expect her to open up once she's more comfortable in our cat room. Sister Kiki is curious and very friendly. "Sweetest boy ever" declared the family who took Stempy in from the streets. As so often happens, the humans who rescue a stray already have cats and can't always keep another one. So, Stempy, at a little over 2 years of age, is ready to be declared the sweetest boy by another family. Could that be you? He did get along with the other cats in his finder's home. Stempy's adoption fee of $85 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Story
Home. Such a powerful word. A meaningful place. For Greta, home helped her find her way to trusting humans. It is a wonderful thing. Can you please help her in her journey to love, belly rubs, and trust? Read her story and then come meet her. Greta, a beautiful dilute tortie born 3/7/2021, has been through a lot. She was a feral cat that gave birth in the spring of 2023 to a litter of three in her finder's roof; all three of her kittens were adopted. Since coming to the shelter in 2023, Greta had been trying to adjust to a domesticated life surrounded by people and other cats. We were confident that given time and space, Greta would learn that people were here to care and love her. To help her along that path, Greta went to a calm and loving foster home where they showed her that she can trust humans who go slow with her. At the shelter, Greta would swat away hands wanting to pet her. But in her foster home, she would walk over to rub against the foster's hand. And when foster mom was away for a few days, Greta came to foster dad just fine. Greta came back to the shelter in mid-April and oh, such a change. She welcomes pets and gentle stroking, even BELLY RUBS earn a purr. She’s a love bug now, all due to the security of a home. Please help her journey to being a valued member of a home, a home with no other cats or dogs. Greta's adoption fee of $85 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Story
Torbie alert! A torbie is a cross between a tortoiseshell and a tabby, a stunning mix. Pepper, born in April 2020, is just such a cat. She lived for a month with a family who took her off the street, but they couldn't keep her as the dog objected. Her favorites while in this home include the kids, chin and ear scratches, tuna-flavored Churus, and playing with hair ties. Come meet this pretty girl. Pepper's adoption fee of $85 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
