Still a young cat herself - just a bit over a year old - Abigail’s had a life of raising her kittens after being taken in by a family earlier this year. Now it’s her turn for a little pampering of her own. The family who cared for her indicated she got along with their kids and with numerous other indoor cats in the home. It’s been a little scary for Abigail since moving into our Free Roam Room, but we know with love and time, she’ll come around. It is said that in the home, once she trusts you, she likes to lay by her human’s side all the while purring up a storm. Will you be that person? Abigail’s adoption fee of $100 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Tetra the Tuxedo! Born in January 2026, Tetra is young cat who’s still waiting for her birthday wish to come true- a loving home that will give her the space to feel safe. Oh, and maybe some tuna on her cake. Please come and make her wish come true. Tetra does have a bite waiver but the bite happened after she got into someone’s house through an open door and during the chase to capture her, not unexpectedly she bit out of fear. Since being at our shelter, she’s been sweet with the humans but she does not like other cats. Tetra’s adoption fee of $100 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Fortune is a fortunate all-black cat. Found as a stray, he was briefly taken into a home where they learned that he's a big cuddler and loves to play with a wand teaser that includes fun feathers, ribbons, or twirly-things to chase thru the air. Lots of play time makes sense as he is still a kitten at heart as he just turned 1 in January. Fortune was reported to be good with children and other cats and indeed, he’s proven that both are true. He played great with a young boy who was entertaining him with wand toys plus, he’s shown no issue with other free-roaming cats. Watching birds outside our window at the bird feeder is a big plus for him. He’ll reward you with adorable chittering at the birds! I Can you see Fortune, and zoomies, in your future? Caramel is, not unsurprisingly, a caramel-colored kitten, who is as sweet as you expect caramel to be, as long as you give him time to chill out in his new home. (Coming home from a shelter is stressful so rescue animals need decompression time, even kittens.) Born in June 2025, Caramel is looking for the home that understands him. Caramel currently is not fond of being picked up. Some cats just find it too stressful, although some can learn to tolerate it. We humans need to allow cats (animals) to be themselves and love them as they are. He does seem to get along with other friendly cats. Caramel's adoption fee of $150 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
