Story

Nova came into my life 4 years ago in September when I visited a local shelter, Friends of Strays, originally planning to adopt a dog. But then I met the sweetest little kitten who completely melted my heart — and that was Nova. Since then, she has been such a special part of our home. Nova and Missa are best friends and spend a lot of their time together, which is why I would absolutely love for them to stay together if possible. Nova is a bit more shy and reserved than Missa. She’s not the most outgoing at first and can be a little skittish in new environments, but she is very gentle and sweet. She never hurts anyone — she just likes her space and takes a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. She isn’t the biggest fan of dogs or unfamiliar cats right away, but with patience and time she can adjust. Once she feels safe, she settles in and enjoys being part of a calm, loving home.

Story

Missa came into my life in the most unexpected way — I found her as a tiny kitten in a Walmart parking lot while I was in college in Gainesville, far away from my family and friends. From the moment I brought her home, she became my little companion and quickly turned into the best friend I didn’t know I needed. She will be 7 years old on May 12th, and she still has the same big personality she had as a kitten. Missa is full of life, very affectionate, and absolutely loves her treats. Her favorite place to be is right on your chest, curled up and cuddling — she’s a true snuggle bug. I’m looking for a home that will be gentle, patient, and give her all the love she deserves. She has brought so much joy into my life, and I hope to find someone who will love her just as much and let her continue living the cozy, spoiled life she’s used to.

Story

Sweet Pea is an 8 year old cat. She is up to date on her shots. She belonged to a woman who could no longer care for her. She is able to be petted. She also snuggles. I've had her for a few weeks. She is definitely getting more used to her surroundings. The woman who previously owned her, had a dog, but they didn't interact. I currently have 2 other adult cats. They don't interact, but can be in the same space. I do believe she would prefer to be the only cat in the house. Once you get to spend some one on one time with her, she will come around more. She really just wants to be loved. She misses her owner and being in a new space has taken some getting used to.
