Story
Abbey is shy in new environments and takes some time to get comfortable, but once she knows she can trust you she is the sweetest companion! Abbey is not demanding of attention and is a rather "low maintenance" kind of kitty. When she't not enjoying a nap in a sunny window, she is happy just being near the people she loves. Abbey is a rather petite kitty (her tiny feet are so adorable!) and easily feels threatened by other cats with strong personalities, so she will do best as an only kitty or in a home with other gentle pets with shy personalities. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. Story
Named after the cat in Breakfast at Tiffany's, Cat is 10 years old and 11 lbs. He's healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on shots. I adopted Cat at 12 weeks old from St. Francis Society. His foster found him under her porch, took him in and bottle-fed him until he was old enough to be adopted. Cat thrives on routine. He would do best in a home where he's the only pet and can have all the attention he needs. He has never been around kids before, so a home with small children might not be the best fit for him. Facts About Cat: - Food-motivated, always excited for meal times. - Loves to talk and will hold a conversation with you. - Does not like to be held or handled for too long, but he will follow you around, hang out with you, and let you know when he wants to be pet. He loves having his chin scratched! - Indoor-only cat, but loves going out on a screened-in patio! - Not a fan of the car or vet. - Loves to play, carry his toys around, and show off his "catch!" Cat Nikko's mother had to move the landlord would not allow him with her, and mom sadly surrendered him to CJPaws. Cat Nikko takes a little bit to warm up to people but when he does, he is friendly and likes being petted and played with. He loves his stuffed toys and dangling toys and loves to be brushed. He needs space at first and if people move too quickly with him, he will run and hide. Cat Nikko has only lived indoors and has never been around wildlife or dogs. He has lived with other cats and has been the more dominate one in the home with the other cats. He has never been around children and it is unknown how he reacts to them but is good with adults. When Cat Nikko goes to the vet, he has needed to be sedated before because of his anxiety when being handled for exams. Cat Nikko enjoys being scratched under the chin and hanging out on the screened-in porch to nature watch. He loves fabric toys and cardboard scratchers. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. Story
Oreo is a beautiful, kind boy who at some point in his life must have had a human of his own but somehow ended up on the streets and a kind gentleman on the edge of the woods would feed Oreo and occasionally pet Oreo. Then a developer purchased the wooded area and is leveling it to build condos and both the kind gentleman and Oreo are displaced. Good Samaritans reached out to CJPaws and brought Oreo to CJPaws foster. Oreo is currently adjusting and is ready for a patient person to open up their heart and home to take Oreo in forever. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. Story
Caesar is a shy guy with most people, but if he decides he likes and trusts you, he is very affectionate and loving! Feeding him wet food is a sure fire way to win Caesar's heart. He loves to hunt feather toys on a stick, will sleep on the couch with you, and will even let you rub his soft belly. He gets along with most cats and dogs but can be intimidating to less confident kitties that don't do well standing up to alpha personalities. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. Story
Meet handsome Asher a Russian Blue mix, who is a mostly independant boy that will ask for love and attention when needed but will also come when called! He loves to have a conversation with his people and to watch cat TV. He has lived in a home with other kitties and should do well with new roommates if provided a proper introduction. He would also do well as an only child. Being the big boy that he is, he may have a dominant side if the situation called for it. Asher was born on 4/18/2020 and has no know health issues. He prefers dry kibble but would be grateful for a spoon full of tuna or chicken in the evening. He loves his scratching post and to just hang and chill with the family. We would love for you to meet him! Please submit an adoption application found at CJPAWS.ORG/ADOPT so we can set you up with an appointment to meet! *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals.
