Story
My husband and I have been rescuing, socializing, and finding forever homes for kitties in our neighborhood for 3 years. Wesley came to us in rough shape and we were surprised by how sweet he was to us once he realized we were not going to hurt him. He is our territorial baby who probably had to fight for his food and space living outside. Wesley has adjusted to the other kitties we have and gets along with some more than others. Wesley loves to play, especially with tennis balls. He is our one cat who appreciates affection because we pick him up and give him lots of kisses. Maybe he just tolerates us, but I can see how he might do well with children. Wesley has been around different people and as most kitties, he would appreciate patience to help build that trust with him. Once he has built a rapport with you, he will talk your ear off (mostly because he wants food or playtime). He does enjoy having outdoor time, but has been kept in the home for consecutive days.

Story
My husband and I came across Percy almost three years ago when she would come into our back yard. We started to feed her and Percy has always seen us a reliable source for shelter and food while living outdoors. We knew she probably spent most of her life outdoors and wanted to respect her space. In March of 2023 she had a kitten and felt safe enough to have her kitten by our home and we took them both in. She has responded well to patience, space, and love as she adjusted to our home. We have three other kitties whom she gets along with. Percy is still working on trusting people and would do better adjusting to a new home than in a shelter. She is almost 3 years old and has parts of her that is self-reliant, a survivor, playful, guarded, cautious, and snuggly. Because my husband and I are military, we can only have two kitties knowing we travel a lot. We hope to find a new family that will provide her with love, patience while she adjusts, playtime, treats, and consistency.
