Sunscreen and Banana Boat are a young bonded pair that are looking for the perfect family to love them forever. These two adventurous cats will brighten up any home! Sunscreen and Banana Boat were originally surrendered by their owner to Caring Hands Humane Society. The Humane Society requested help from a rescue because they had allergies that were not clearing up. Banana Boat is ear tipped because Caring Hands was thinking about making him a barn cat but changed their minds because he was skittish and his white coloring makes him a poor candidate to be an outdoor cat. Banana Boat (ear tipped)- a little shy but the sweetest cat. He loves eating, back scratches, boxes, and opening cabinets. He can live in a house with dogs and other cats but keeps his distance (with the exception of his brother) Sunscreen - not a shy bone in his little body. He loves to cuddle with the other dogs and cats in the house (he really loves dogs), playing with teaser toys, and people watching out the window. He needs to be in a house with older kids or kids that understand boundaries (he is not afraid to enforce his boundaries with a swift swat so I worry that he would really scratch up some kids). Both cats are very smart and love puzzle toys, opening cabinets, and chasing each other around the house. They are on a prescription diet to keep their skin/hair healthy and they are doing very well on it. Story
I'm orange and ready to play ball, my name is Short Stop. I'm still quite shy from having little contact with humans. My foster mommy thinks I'm silly. When she picks me up out of my kennel I snuggle and burrow into her arms. However when I'm out of my kennel running around, I run and scurry when I see her. I can be so silly. I do okay with other kitties... My Foster sisters are teaching me how to hiss so it may be hard to tell. I'm learning about dogs at my foster home, I'm not quite sure about them yet. I love to scratch the cat tree and play with the ball on the string. I'm practicing for the major kitty league. Will you adopt me? Meet Augustus, the most majestic cat you'll ever see. He's three years old, but he still acts like a kitten sometimes. He loves to play with toys, chase bugs, and nap on your lap. He's also very smart and can open doors, drawers, and cabinets with his paws. He's looking for a patient home where he knows he is safe and loved. He had a rough start in life and he's still learning to trust people. He might be shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he'll be your loyal companion for life. If you're looking for a cat with personality and charm, Augustus is the one for you! Story
My owner was diagnosed with bonce cancer and had no choice but to send me and four other siblings to the local humane society. Since I was very scared and depressed from my new surroundings in the humane society, they reached out to Beauties for help. I was a very timid boy at the time, but now I am doing well with six other cats and a senior dog. You can hear me chase and play with my foster sister throughout all hours of the day. Head rubs, belly rubs and chin rubs cause me to be a purr machine. Have learned that coffee in the morning equals the great taste of cream! I am not yet a complete lap kitty, still working on that but I do occasionally just jump up beside my foster parents and watch a good movie or stick my nose in my foster mom's eye for attention. Love big bed pillows and the dog bed. Comfortable around the senior dog because she is low key. Bird watching is fascinating to me, so I really do enjoy wide open windows. I am a quiet guy and still a little timid but am a curious fellow once comfortable in my surroundings. Story
This larger then life black panther is hoping to finally land himself a loving home. Mr. Black was brought in as feral cat and slotted the life to be a barn cat.A twist in fate got him a different destination. He had a large wound to one of his legs that was noticed during his neuter and vetting. Mr. Black no longer qualified as a barn cat and now he needed a chance with a rescue to spare his life. Mr. Black has been waiting since January 2022 for a forever since he's fate was changed. Mr. Black is a lover but a little shy and once he realizes you mean no harm will be your best friend. Embodying a name that is especially suited to its owner, Mr Black is, well, black, and all that that implies. He is as dark as a night shot through with stars; you can see tiny streaks of white in his fur like miniature shooting stars. His glossy coat replicates the luster of polished obsidian. Stroking him summons images of a breeze gently gliding over a tranquil stream. Mr Black may also have a black heart, but he is not evil. A result of human neglect, he lived the challenging life of a stray until an injury brought him to Beauties. His behavior on intake led people to place him in the Working Cat program. But healing his body seemed to heal his mood. It was eventually decided that he could be adopted. His journey through being a foster cat has not been an easy one. Separated from the other household pets for a couple weeks, he was even skittish around me. He found new hiding places in my room that I never knew existed. After he was allowed into the rest of the house he would slink around hissing and swatting at the other cats. Mr Black is now able to stroll around calmly but will still hiss and swipe at the other cats, especially when treats are involved. Compare this to him falling asleep on your lap as you murmur and pet him. This is the puzzle that is Mr Black. Obviously ideal as the only pet in a home, but who knows? Maybe someone with unlimited time could transform him into the cherished center of a cuddling clowder. Let's help this disqualified barn cat get the couch he truly deserves.
