Story
Hey, I'm Lincoln, your new best friend forever, hopefully! I LOVE people, and will want to be by your side or on your lap. I am polite about it, and I'm not pushy. I will take as much attention as I can get, but will give my human their space. I am gentle, have a pleasant meow, enjoy making eye contact, and being petted. I'm a middle-aged gentleman, and was actually returned to the sanctuary after being adopted as a kitten about 6 years ago, due to unforeseen circumstances. My brother, sister and I were found abandoned as tiny kittens. Apparently, my mama was accidentally trapped in a hot shed and sadly perished. A kind lady socialized us and got us really healthy, then we were all adopted. I have adapted well, but I was SO used to being around a caring family, and would really like to be a part of one again soon. I have been around children of all ages, other cats and dogs. I enjoy going outdoors supervised, once I know where home is. I promise, you will love me once you meet me. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Petfinder site!

Story
Hello everyone, my name is Grey Star, which fits me because I am a regal kitty with brilliant green eyes! Although I am sometimes cautious, I really do love people and enjoy being around them. My meow is pleasant and is used to ask for attention, mostly petting and conversation. My previous owner was killed by a drunk driver, so my friends and I had to find another place to go. Every day I long to have a home of my own, where I belong, with people and animals who love me. And I promise that I will return the love tenfold. Please give me that chance. I was an inside only cat, but now I am allowed to venture out to an enclosed deck, where I spend a good deal of time. I would probably be comfortable being only indoors, but would appreciate an open window so I can feel the sunshine and enjoy fresh air. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Adopt a Pet site!

Story
Hi, my name is Lacey, and I'm the sweetest cat you'll ever meet. I will try to get your attention with my captivating green eyes, and will meow back when you talk to me. I mostly keep to myself, but I do enjoy gentle affection. I wandered upon a kind man's property where he feeds neighborhood cats. He tried to find my previous home, to no avail. He perceived me as being naive, unlike the more feral outdoor cats, and he wanted a better life for me, for which I am very thankful. Now, all I need is a forever home, with a kind person or family to love me and make me part of their world. I am quiet and gentle and adapt well, but need to be indoors only because I am so trusting. Just asking that you give me a chance to show you what a good cat I am, and that you allow me to love you. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Adopt a Pet site!

Story
My name is Clairesse, and I am one of THE sweetest cats you will ever meet! Not only sweet, but also gentle, happy, loving and playful! So I was left behind when a mobile home park was demolished, and because I was so scared, I was thought to be feral, so I was ear-tipped when I got spayed. People say I'm still really cute though. Being a chill cat, I take everything in stride, and cause no trouble for anyone. Several times a day, I am seen dancing around because I am so happy loving life. The best home for me is a quiet home with gentle loving people. I get along well with other cats, and probably gentle dogs as well. Although I prefer the indoors, I do enjoy the outdoors sometimes to feel the sunshine, but I don't wander. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Adopt a Pet site!

Story
Hi, my name is Phoenix, and I will shine for you if you look at my light. Being fairly shy, I sometimes miss out on attention because I'm too shy to seek it. But when you talk to me and pet me gently, I will show you that I really appreciate you. My previous owner was killed by a drunk driver, so my friends and I had to find another place to go. Every day I long to have a home of my own, where I belong. I was an inside only cat, but now I am allowed to venture out to an enclosed deck where I spend a good deal of time. I would probably be comfortable being only indoors, but would appreciate an open window where I could enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Chances are I will hide when new people are around, but my confidence will grow when I am treated well and feel safe. So I would appreciate a quiet home with no small children. I get along really well with other cats, and perhaps other gentle animals. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Adopt a Pet site!

Story
Hi, Fiona Fairy is my name, or you can call me Fiona. I do know my name and I really like it. If you know cats, you will know that some are smarter than others, and I will tell you that I am one of THE smartest cats you will EVER meet. I am in tune with everything that happens around me, and I like to get my own way, but I have learned to adapt and share the attention with others. I showed up at a house in the country that had no neighbors, so I was assumed to be abandoned. But I was not quiet and so I was noticed immediately. These people kept me around for a while and tried to find out where I came from, but since they already had multiple pets, I was surrendered to Country Cats. There are several traits about me that are desirable in a cat like me, such as my fur is short, silky and soft, and I don't shed much at all. And I love to be held and cuddled, and will purr deep and loud, and will give you the best kitty hug you've ever had. So if these traits aren't enough to find my forever home, I don't know what are! LOL As you probably figured out from what I've said here, I am confident, but yet respectful and independent. I get along with everyone, people and animals alike. I really just want and need someone to love me. Oh, and I don't want to go outside ever. After that one experience, I feel the safest being indoors. Thank you for learning about me, and please check out my good friends on the Country Cats Adopt a Pet site!
