Story
This is Toby. I found him as a ferrule kitten at about 5 months old. It took me several months for me to touch him, then pat him, then let him inside. He was born sometime in September of 2021 (when I first saw him, his mother and siblings) He needs to be the only pet in the house. He does not like other cats, or probably dogs. He is scared of coyote howls, probably from being a kitten outside. He is very affectionate and he loves to chase a string around. He does not go outside, for fear of being hit by a vehicle. I had him neutered in late in 2021. He loves looking out windows and talking to birds. He chirps more than he meows. I guess it is a ferrule cat thing. I will be moving and now have a job where I may not be home for a few days here and there. I am looking for a good home for him where he can be ruler of the roost.

Story
This is Fergie (boots with the fur). She was given to me to receive surgery for her knees, that her previous owners couldn’t afford. I never planned on keeping her, only to help her get the surgery she needed, and then finding her a place to call home. She is around 2 years old, 7.5lbs, indoor only, spayed, vaccinated, up to date on blood work and negative for FIV/FeLV. She had bilateral luxating patella’s, both of her knees wouldn’t stay in place and would pop in and out, causing a lot of discomfort. She got her knee surgery 3/23, and has been recovering slowly, but well! She does still need medication for pain, and she doesn’t mind being a little lazy! She loves to snuggle and takes her meds so well in wet food. She loves to rub herself wherever you’ll let her, and she has the cutest meow when it’s breakfast/dinner time. She is good with other cats, not a huge fan of dogs but has done well with respectful dogs that give her space!

Meet Marmalade! This charming girl is as sweet as her name—with just the right touch of sass to keep things interesting. Marmalade would love to be your one-and-only pet, happily soaking up all the attention for herself. Her spirited personality means she’ll do best in a home without young children, where she can truly shine.Marmalade is also on a special C/D diet to support her urinary health, so her future family should be ready to keep her on this routine. If you’re looking for a cat with both heart and a little spice, Marmalade might be your perfect match. Stop by KVHS during adoption hours to meet her!
