Story
Gracie the Gentle Soul! Meet Gracie, a shy but incredibly sweet girl who’s just looking for a peaceful place to call her own. Change can be very scary for her, so she’ll need a super quiet home without lots of activity or loud noises where she can take her time settling in. Give her a few months, some patience, and plenty of love, and you’ll start to see her true personality bloom. Once she feels safe, Gracie becomes a cuddly companion who even enjoys curling up in laps—on her terms, of course! She loves having cozy hiding spots and high perches where she can quietly observe her surroundings. She may do well with another calm cat after a very slow introduction. If you’re someone who understands that the best bonds take time, Gracie will reward you with a soft, trusting love that’s truly special. Behavior and personality assessment is based on information provided by previous owner(s) and/or observations in a shelter environment and may not accurately reflect the pet’s behavior in your home.

Story
Pixy Stix the Sassy Sweet-Tart! Meet Pixy Stix, a talkative little character with a very specific set of preferences—and she’s not shy about sharing them! This fickle and persnickety queen enjoys attention… but only in short, carefully timed doses. A minute or two of pets? Lovely. Anything beyond that? Expect some grumbles and growls letting you know she’s reached her limit. (She won’t walk away—she expects you to read the room!) Pixy Stix is looking for a super quiet home with minimal activity and noise, where mature adopters can respect her boundaries and appreciate her independent nature. She thrives with people who understand cat communication and won’t push her past her comfort zone—she’s very clear about what she wants, and consistency is key!??? Pixy Stix’s Favorites: Tasty treats (the way to her heart!), wet food, fun toys, and short bursts of attention—on her terms onlyIf you’re someone who respects a strong-willed kitty with a big personality and doesn’t mind a little sass, Pixy Stix might just be your perfectly imperfect match. Behavior and personality assessment is based on information provided by previous owner(s) and/or observations in a shelter environment and may not accurately reflect the pet’s behavior in your home.

Story
Meet Aria — A Shy Girl with a Gentle Heart Aria is a sweet and sensitive kitty who is still adjusting to shelter life. Right now, she can be very shy and overwhelmed, preferring to observe from a safe, quiet space while she takes everything in at her own pace. Beneath that timid exterior is a gentle, loving cat who is just waiting for the right environment to help her feel secure enough to show her true personality.Aria would do best in a calm, low-traffic home with patient adopters who understand that she may need time to fully relax and build trust. Providing cozy hiding spots, soft places to rest, and a predictable routine will help her feel safe as she settles in. With time, understanding, and a peaceful environment, Aria has the potential to blossom into a sweet and quietly affectionate companion. Behavior and personality assessments are based on information provided by previous owner(s) and/or observations in a shelter environment and may not fully reflect behavior in a home setting.

Story
Skeetawk is an absolute sweetheart. He is about 6 years old. I adopted him around one year old and have had him for five years. He came from a shelter in Anchorage, AK while I was living there. I adore this cat and want to make sure that he goes to a great new home. He loves lounging around, snuggles, the laser, bubbles, and stringy toys. I've also trained him to high-five for treats. They had mentioned when I adopted him that he wasn't great with other animals. Unfortunately when I moved in with my boyfriend he really didn't get along well with his cat despite our efforts to introduce them well. I want him to go somewhere where he will get the love and attention he deserves. The ideal person would have no other cats, and if they had a dog it would have to be very gentle and calm. He's done okay with kittens in the past but it seems like adult cats are where he struggles to get along. If you have experience with cats and are looking for a sweet snuggly guy then please reach out.
