Story
Meet Marmalade! This charming girl is as sweet as her name—with just the right touch of sass to keep things interesting. Marmalade would love to be your one-and-only pet, happily soaking up all the attention for herself. Her spirited personality means she’ll do best in a home without young children, where she can truly shine.Marmalade is also on a special C/D diet to support her urinary health, so her future family should be ready to keep her on this routine. If you’re looking for a cat with both heart and a little spice, Marmalade might be your perfect match. Stop by KVHS during adoption hours to meet her!

Story
** Foster-to-adopt eligible**Meet Curtis, a 6 year old diabetic kitty with tons of charm, personality, and just the right amount of chaos! Despite his medical needs, Curtis is incredibly friendly and absolutely loves attention from his people!Curtis is very food motivated, and will let you know when HE believes it`s dinnertime, but he must stay on a strict diet to help manage his diabetes as well as receive insulin injections every 12 hours to keep his blood glucose levels in check. Curtis is also FIV+, so he will need to be the only cat in the home, have his own separate space or live with other FIV+ kitties.Curtis is currently available under our foster-to-adopt program, because while we want him to be at his absolute best when he goes to his forever home, he isn`t quite there yet and we believe that he will benefit being out of the shelter environment as we continue to help get his diet and insulin needs to where they need to be so he can thrive. If you are interested in fostering, foster-to-adopting, or have any questions about Curtis, please give us a call (207) 626-3491 or stop by during our open hours and ask to speak to a staff member about him!

Story
*LONGEST IN HOUSE RESIDENT!*Meet Tiny Tim!Don’t let the name fool you—this handsome guy is anything but tiny. Tiny Tim has a big personality to match his size! He can be a little sassy at times, but he also has a soft side and enjoys being held (on his terms, of course) and absolutely loves cheek rubs.Because of his spirited nature, Tiny Tim would do best in a home without young children, where he can relax and be his charming self.Tiny Tim is FIV+, which means any feline friends in his new home should also be FIV+, and he’ll need to be kept as an indoor-only cat to stay happy and healthy. If you’re looking for a cat with character and heart, Tiny Tim might be your perfect match. Come meet him at KVHS during adoption hours! If you would like to meet him, just ask one of the staff! Tiny Tim is hanging out in one of our back cat rooms where it`s nice and quiet, because we recently discovered that being up front has been making him very stressed. We want him to be at his best when he meets you, so we are helping him to be as happy and comfortable as possible!
