So listen..... we know she is a chunky one.... but she is the best girl ever! Kaia is a self-appointed queen bee of the household and everyone’s favorite companion. At 10 years old, Kaia has perfected the art of being your tiny furry supervisor. She will be the first to greet you at the door every single day, ready to give you a full rundown of everything you missed while you were gone. Expect conversations, opinions, and lots of personality! When Kaia first came to us, she was extremely overweight. Since then, she has worked hard on her weight-loss journey and is feeling so much healthier. With all that success came a little extra loose skin and honestly, it’s our favorite part! Her adorable waddles and squishy rolls make her extra lovable. The vets do not perform kitty tummy tucks, so Kaia is proudly embracing her curves. If you’re someone who appreciates a little jiggle and a lot of charm, Kaia is your girl. Kaia gets along just fine with cats and dogs, but she is not interested in being their best friend. No cuddling, no group naps, no nonsense. Kaia prefers to reserve her affection for humans only. She coexists peacefully with other pets while maintaining her royal status from a comfortable distance. Kaia is looking for a home where she can be adored for the hilarious, affectionate, confident cat she is. If you want a loyal companion with a big personality and even bigger heart, Kaia is ready to rule your home.   PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Chesty is a gentle boy who takes things at his own pace. He may need a little time and space to settle in, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet and loving personality begins to shine. He enjoys being pet, does well with other cats, and has a playful side that comes out once he’s relaxed and confident. Chesty would thrive in a patient home where he can warm up on his own terms and be appreciated for the affectionate, playful companion he truly is. Chester is a quiet, sensitive boy who's been learning that the world and the people in it aren’t so scary after all. He’s what we lovingly call a “cat’s cat” he finds comfort and confidence in the company of other feline friends, and would thrive in a calm home with at least one other friendly cat. Chester is very shy at first and takes time to build trust with humans. But with gentle patience, a quiet environment, and a soft approach, he’ll start to come out of his shell and when he does, you’ll see a truly special cat emerge. He’s grown to enjoy affection, even seeking it out once he feels safe. Curling up beside you, soaking in gentle pets, and especially belly rubs are some of his favorite ways to show his trust. Chester will need a slow introduction to his new home, with gradual changes and time to adjust at his own pace. Loud noises and fast movements can still startle him, so a calm, understanding adopter is a must. If you believe in second chances and the beauty of watching a shy cat blossom, Chester will reward you with quiet companionship, tender moments, and a bond built on trust. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Each adopted pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and has current flea treatment unless otherwise noted.  You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application. Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call.  We are currently unable to adopt pets to MA and RI residents.
