Chester is a quiet, sensitive boy who's been learning that the world and the people in it aren’t so scary after all. He’s what we lovingly call a “cat’s cat” he finds comfort and confidence in the company of other feline friends, and would thrive in a calm home with at least one other friendly cat. Chester is very shy at first and takes time to build trust with humans. But with gentle patience, a quiet environment, and a soft approach, he’ll start to come out of his shell and when he does, you’ll see a truly special cat emerge. He’s grown to enjoy affection, even seeking it out once he feels safe. Curling up beside you, soaking in gentle pets, and especially belly rubs are some of his favorite ways to show his trust. Chester will need a slow introduction to his new home, with gradual changes and time to adjust at his own pace. Loud noises and fast movements can still startle him, so a calm, understanding adopter is a must.
