Story
I adopted Thor and his littermate Loki from the humane society approximately 5 years ago. They were a bonded pair at that time. They got along well for about two years. Loki became exceptionally territorial. He fights ( not in a playful way) with Thor, and doesn’t want me to show any attention to Thor. In retaliation, Thor began urinating on the wall. I replaced that area with another litter box. He chose another wall, so there went another litter box. I took him to the vet who wanted to put him on Prozac. I’ve tried every possible way to give him the medication unsuccessfully. We are currently having our home renovated, and there is severe damage done because of Thor’s urine. I spoke with someone at the humane society today asking for advice, She suggested that Thor be rehomed. I am hoping that Thor might change his behavior with a new environment where he is the only cat. He is DECLAWED. So he cannot be an outdoor cat, or around any aggressive animal. He is very docile in nature.

Story
Everyone meet Miss Ollie!  This beautiful 11 year old Queen has the cutest meow you've ever heard and when she loves you, she REALLY loves you! This little fluff lost her only home, due to a family member being severely allergic sadly. Give her time and patience to trust and she'll give you companionship and purrs. She is an older cat with just enough sass still left inside! When you bond with her, she will always meow for your attention and always be at your side. She doesn't mind dogs but doesn't love them when they are in her space. No other cats please this little diva requests. She does prefer men and would prefer to be the only animal in the house with no kids, so she can be the queen and have all the attention. If you go to the restroom or need to shower, make sure you leave the door open or Ollie will break it down to get to her human! Once she warms up and decides she loves you, you are all hers! She will be super cuddly with the right owners and she only deserves the best. As every queen deserves! Give Miss Ollie the loving home she deserves in her senior years by applying today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org. Miss Ollie is up to date with vaccinations and is spayed. DONATION ADOPTION FEE $75. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! May 2, 2024, 3:39 am

Story
Meet Sissy Girl! Sissy is a beautiful two year old female cat who has been spayed, litter box trained and current with all shots. We adopted Sissy Girl with her brother about two years ago when they were 8 weeks old. Their mother was Siamese - father was Himalayan. Loud noises cause her to run and hide. She currently lives with two adults, her brother and Maltese dog. When my grand dog comes to visit, Sissy is quick to assert herself as the "pack leader". She is playful, curious and loves her ears, tummy and back scratched. She likes to be around people and follows me around the house. Lap time is enjoyed at bedtime. Sissy Girl eats her twice daily food bowl and has recently been eating whatever her brother doesn't eat so she is getting a tummy! We live in a rural area with very little to no traffic so Sissy Girl enjoys spending time indoor and outside. Best home scenario for Sissy Girl? Adults, older children, ability to go outdoors or stay inside, as much playtime as possible.
