Story
Angus is an unusual name for a little lady, but don't judge a book by its cover!  This sweet kitty came to us from Oklahoma, so we don't know much about her past, but we are getting to know more about her personality every day!  She is not intimidated by any of the cats twice her size, and enjoys being an independent leader. Angus has an unlimited supply of energy that she likes to utilize by playing with toys or people all day long! Don't worry, she does take the occasional power nap! When she wakes up she is refreshed and ready to race right back into playtime! Angus is also a professional hinderer when it comes to doing laundry. No need to make up any more excuses as to why you haven’t put those clean clothes away yet! It will be the truth when you tell people that you haven’t paid the treat bill to your laundry guardian! Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday. Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Story
Judi is a 5 year old female who prides herself on being an excellent judge of character! She enjoys greeting new people by casting judgmental and slightly disgusted looks from across the room, but don’t worry, this is all part of her game plan! If you survive her judgy glares, she will reward you by allowing you to quietly approach her and give her some head scritches. If she deems your head scritches satisfactory, you’ve passed her test! Judi loves to be where her favorite people are. She will follow you room to room to watch what you are doing and occasionally demand some extra attention. Her coat is so silky and she does an excellent job of maintaining it! Judi gets most of her confidence from being in the same area as JoJo. Judi and JoJo are a bonded pair and will need to be adopted together. Please check out JoJo’s bio to learn more about him! What we do know is this: Judi loves her people deeply. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she loves with her whole heart, the kind of loyal, gentle love that makes every day a little brighter. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Town and Country Animal Rescue Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. Story
Siggy is a 1yearold cat who has been patiently waiting for her chance. She stayed in foster care while the cat house was on quarantine, and during that time she began to show her gentle, trusting side. With time and consistency, she even started sitting in her foster’s lap and asking for pets. She’s still shy, and being back at the cat house has her back to being a little cautious. But we’ve already seen what a loving companion she can be once she feels secure. When Siggy is comfortable, she leans in for affection and offers a strong, steady purr in return. We believe that with a calm home and a little patience, her shyness will melt away and the sweet cat we met in foster care will shine through again. Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. Story
Meet JoJo, a handsome 5yearold gentleman who knows what he wants in life….which is for you to pet, carry, love and adore him all of the time! JoJo likes to take his time when acclimating to a new environment, but once he finds his footing he will pester you until he gets all of the attention he absolutely deserves. JoJo has assumed the role of Quality Control Manager of all of our dry food bowls in the cattery. He dutifully tests every single one of them multiple times per day; to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the other cats of course. JoJo is bonded with Judi and they will need to be adopted together. Please check out Judi’s bio to learn more about her!
