Story
Meet Wallabie, Wombat & Capybara 🐱🐱🐱Three brothers. Six months old. Fifty days in rescue. And still waiting for someone to see the quiet sweetness in them. These handsome boys came to us from an outdoor situation almost two months ago. They are litterbox trained, healthy, and gentle — just very shy. They aren’t mean, spicy, or grumpy… they simply prefer to keep their distance from people. When unsure, they hide rather than hiss. 💙We’ve been working with them consistently, but shelter life can be overwhelming. So many new faces every day makes it hard for timid cats to truly relax. The kind of progress they need is most likely to happen in a home where they see the same patient person every day and can learn at their own pace. They would do best with someone who understands that not every cat wants to be a lap cat — and that’s okay. They could potentially thrive as:🏡 Indoor-only cats in a quiet home🌤️ Indoor/outdoor cats🚜 Barn, porch, or shop cats with safe shelter and careThey are:✔️ Neutered✔️ FeLV/FIV negative✔️ Fully vaccinated (including Rabies)✔️ Flea & tick treated✔️ Microchipped upon adoptionBecause they’ve been with us for 50 days and need a home environment to continue blossoming, we’ve lowered their adoption fee to $40 each to help them find their person sooner rather than later.Sometimes the quiet ones just need someone willing to give them time. If you have room in your heart (and maybe a cozy barn, porch, or peaceful home), one of these brothers could be the perfect fit. 🐾💛Let’s get these shy boys out of the shelter and into a place they can finally feel safe. Our cat adoption process is open and straightforward! Stop by the shelter to meet our wonderful cats and find the one that steals your heart. Adoptions are handled on a first-come, first-adopt basis. We're open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to ensure enough time to complete the adoption process. 🐾💕We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. Story
🌙 Meet Atlas – The Quiet, Sensitive SoulBig boy almost 11 lbs!Atlas is a 1-year-old neutered male who is litter box trained and full of quiet, tender love. 💙He’s affectionate and talkative in his own soft way, but he’s not as confident — especially when he’s away from his big brother, Stubbs. The shelter has been a hard adjustment for him, and you can see that he’s just trying to find his footing.💕 Atlas’ Personality:Gentle and calmShy, especially with new adultsPrefers quiet environmentsAvoids kidsFriendly and tolerant of other cats (but truly loves his brother Stubbs)Has not been exposed to dogsAtlas is a head-butter — the sweet kind who presses his forehead into you and sticks close for comfort. He likes to stay near his person once he feels safe. While he doesn’t always seek to be picked up, he doesn’t mind it sometimes when he trusts you. Here at the shelter his energy level is low, and he tends to climb up high — likely because he feels safer observing from above while he adjusts.🐾 The Heart of AtlasAtlas is incredibly loving, but this environment has been overwhelming for him. In a calm home, he may absolutely blossom back into his more relaxed self — or he may just need a little extra time and patience to feel secure. Either way, he’s worth it.If you’re looking for a quiet companion who bonds deeply and stays close, Atlas may be your gentle shadow. And if you happen to have room for two, his bond with Stubbs is something truly special. 💙Atlas's adoption fee is $75, he is neutered, vaccinated, flea & tick treated and microchipped. Our cat adoption process is open and straightforward!
