Handsome young Angus is a friendly and outgoing kitty, despite being dumped by humans. He will be fine with other (female) cats and kids 12 and older. We're not sure about dogs. Angus has been neutered, has tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is current on vaccinations/flea preventive. Adoption donation: $40. You will receive health records and a bag of Hill's Science Diet pet food. When transporting cats, you must bring a cat carrier. Please complete the pre-adoption questionnaire at: https://www.cchspets.com/adoption-pre-qualifier We will contact you via email. Please check your spam/junk folders too! The Clinton County Humane Society is a no-kill, nonprofit, volunteer-based organization. We do not receive county or government funding and depend on our adoption donations to fund the shelter. Story
Layla is a very sweet, energetic, playful four-year-old. She was bottle fed as a kitten, mother passed the day after she had her litter. Layla has been with other cats in the past and gotten along with them well. We have had her for 11 months. She has not been around another cat during that time. When we took Layla in, her owners were going to surrender her because she had stomach issues. That has been completely corrected by giving her Science Diet Sensitive Stomach. (This is her special need.) She is a happy and healthy kitty. She loves to play and is also very independent. Layla is very chatty and loves to chirp. She would do amazing in a single cat home without a doubt. We will send all of her food, toys ( She LOVES her toys!), her feeding system and litter box with her to her new home. We want her to be in a place where she has room to run inside and is happy. She will have to be strictly indoors as her previous owners had her declawed.

Meet Buddy 🖤🤍 Buddy is an incredibly sweet, affectionate young guy who is ready to find the forever home he deserves. Buddy showed up one day at a community cat colony, but it quickly became obvious that this boy had been someone’s indoor cat. Sadly, we believe he was abandoned and left to fend for himself. Despite everything, Buddy hasn’t lost an ounce of his love for people. He is extremely friendly, gentle, and affectionate and seems to love absolutely everyone he meets. Humans? ❤️ Cats? ❤️ Dogs? ❤️ Buddy is just an all-around happy, easygoing guy who wants to be part of the family. One of his favorite activities is making biscuits—and he does it constantly! 🐾 He loves attention, companionship, and simply being near his people. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for adoption. He has already experienced what it feels like to lose a home, so this time we’re looking for the real thing: a safe, loving FOREVER home where Buddy will never have to wonder if he’s wanted again. These two came to us from a trailer park where they didn’t have consistent access to food, fresh water, or safe shelter. Even worse, we learned that some residents were actually kicking them. Despite everything they experienced, Thelma and Louise are two of the sweetest, friendliest, most grateful girls you could ever meet. They look so much alike, and they’re just as similar in personality — affectionate, gentle, and so happy to finally be safe. They absolutely love being petted and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give them. And if you really want to win their hearts? Bring out the wet food! 😂 These girls take mealtime very seriously! After living a life where basic necessities were never guaranteed, Thelma and Louise deserve to know what it feels like to have a home where they are safe, loved, well-fed, and treasured every single day. Despite the rough start she’s had, Ivy is an incredibly calm, quiet and gentle girl. She’s friendly, loves attention, and is happiest when someone is sitting nearby giving her all the pets. 🥹❤️ She has such a peaceful, sweet personality and would be perfect for someone looking for a loving companion without a lot of chaos. Ivy doesn’t ask for much—just a safe home, a soft place to sleep, plenty of pets, and someone to love her. Ivy is now spayed and ready for adoption.
