This terrific tabby girl is Befana!Befana has been hanging out with us for a few months now and is still looking for her purr-fect match! Befana was dumped on our doorstep on Christmas morning with a litter of kittens in tow. She was an excellent mom to her babies who all have found their own families and has been patiently waiting for her turn. She does great with all the other kitties she has shared her space with and has been a source of comfort for all the new and scared residents. Because of this, we think she would be happiest in a home with other cats. As for dogs? She hasn't been terribly bothered by the sounds and smells of her canine neighbors. Befana is not a cat that loves to be held or picked up until she's comfortable with you. She's real big on consent! So she might not be the best choice for a home with very small children.She is truly a diamond in the rough and we know that she's going to give so much love to her future family!**Spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and UTD on vaccines & monthly prevention**

This cubby-cheeked cutie is Mr. Dale! Dale was brought to us several weeks ago after being found as a stray in Ney, OH. To everyone's surprise, Dale did not end up getting reclaimed! We figured with how friendly and well-socialized that he was that he would have certainly been someone's companion.Dale has been soaking up all the love from our staff in the time that he's been with us and has been living the good life. He's made several friends in his cat room and is happiest when he's lounging in a bed with a full tummy. Dale loves to pick a favorite spot and stay there (right now it’s a round bed)! She doesn't mind the company of another cat and someone's lap to sit on- but she isn't a fan of loud or chaotic environments...so you can imagine how shelter life can be pretty stressful for her. She can be super affectionate once she's comfortable and in her groove, but it may take her some time to warm up to new faces and places. Look at our little princess, Sophia! Sophia came to the shelter as a stray kitten and was never claimed. She is very shy and is still decompressing and getting used to the noise of the shelter. Sophia is looking for a quiet home, maybe even with older kids who would give her space. She will need constant reassurance that she is a princess and deserves to be treated like one! So far, life has been less than purrfect, but we know that Sophia will open up to the right humans. She is still a baby and should acclimate to quiet households quickly. Every morning when we go to serve him his breakfast he's always telling us the latest news and catching us up on his day. If you're looking for entertainment, he's 100% your guy!Tux has gotten along great with the other kitties in his cat room and doesn't seem bothered by the sounds or smells of his canine neighbors. We are confident that Tux is capable of making himself at home in most situations. He would love nothing more than to join a family where he gets lots of attention and play-time!
