Hey, I’m Rocky! Four years old, tabby, and very into being everyone’s friend.I came to the shelter with some of my cat buddies after my person could no longer care for us. I was really loved in my last home, and it shows. I’m social, snuggly, and always down to hang out. I’ve lived with a bunch of other cats and was real good pals with the family dog too. I’d groom him, snuggle him, and generally act like we were the same species. I love attention, playtime, and being where the action is.I'm looking forever home where I can get lots of attention and spend the rest of my nine lives being doted on! Say hello to Virginia!Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she’s spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.Virginia came to us nearly a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.Virginia is a cat’s cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you’ll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She’s friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment. Dreamy is exactly that, absolutely dreamy. This gorgeous girl was recently surrendered due to no fault of her own. She's a total sweetheart and loves having her chin scratched and her head rubbed. She is still very new to FDHS and is still decompressing and we are still learning about her personality and her quirks. We were told that Dreamy does not have experience living with other animals and has always seemed content being the only princess in the palace. Dreamy is used to a peaceful, low-key environment and likely wouldn't be a fan of living in a loud, active household. She has only known indoor life and is used to being pampered and adored. This pretty girl is Dani!Dani was one of our Hocus Pocus kittens last summer and somehow ended up being the last of her crew still waiting for a forever home. She has now been with us for nearly a year, and honestly, we are completely baffled that this sweet thing hasn’t been scooped up yet.Dani is a bit of a little wallflower in her cat room, but she has always been so sweet and affectionate with the other cats. She used to take her job as the kitten room babysitter very seriously, often cuddling up with the younger kittens and keeping them company. She still does wonderful with her feline neighbors and would likely love a home with another cat or two.While Dani can be a little shy here at the shelter, we really believe her true personality is just waiting to bloom once she’s in a forever home of her own.
