Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Rumi 🐾 4-5 month old spayed female Rumi is the thoughtful sister — observant, gentle, and still building her confidence. Like her sister, Rumi was born to a feral mom and is continuing her socialization journey in foster care. She may be a bit skittish at first, but she’s making steady progress. Her foster can now sit beside her and pet her — a big step for a young cat who once wasn’t sure about people. Rumi prefers a slower approach. She likes to take in her surroundings, decide she feels safe, and then allow affection on her terms. She’s not dramatic — just cautious. And that cautious heart makes every small milestone feel meaningful. She would thrive in a calm, patient home willing to give her the time she needs to fully bloom. With consistency and kindness, Rumi has all the potential to become a loyal, quietly affectionate companion. If you believe the best bonds are built slowly and gently, Rumi may be the perfect match for you. 🌿

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Sir Marvin Reginald Gingerbottom III — but you can call him Marvin 🧡 4–5 years old • ~12 lbs • Neutered male Marvin is a big, handsome orange boy with a royal name and a personality to match. While his past hasn’t been the easiest — his dusty paws tell stories of a rough road before rescue — Marvin is ready to trade survival for a soft bed, steady meals, and a home where he can finally relax. He’s a loving, affectionate cat who enjoys attention and companionship, happily leaning in for pets and spending time near his people. Like many confident adult cats, Marvin also knows his boundaries and isn’t shy about letting you know when he’s ready for a break — a trait that makes him wonderfully honest and easy to understand once you learn his cues. Because of his independent streak and clear communication style, Marvin would likely do best in a home with older kids (13+) who can respect his space and appreciate his personality. Marvin is the perfect mix of sweet, dignified, and a little bit spicy — a big orange gentleman who just needs the right home to truly shine. 🧡

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cleopatra – 8 months old | Spayed Female | Dilute Tortoiseshell Cleopatra may have a royal name, but this gentle girl is as sweet and soft-natured as they come. At just 8 months old, she’s still a kitten, but she carries herself with a calm, quiet grace that makes her easy to fall in love with. Cleopatra is a very gentle, quiet kitty who enjoys peaceful environments and gentle affection. She’s the kind of cat who will happily keep you company from a cozy spot nearby or curl up beside you when it’s time to relax. Her beautiful dilute tortoiseshell coat makes her just as stunning as her name suggests. Cleopatra is currently being treated for ringworm, a common and very treatable fungal skin condition. It’s not a worm despite the name, and with proper treatment it resolves well. Our team is already addressing it, and we’re happy to talk with potential adopters about what that looks like. She would likely thrive in a calm home where she can settle in and let her sweet personality shine. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving young cat who just wants a peaceful place to call home, Cleopatra may be your perfect match. 🐾👑

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Delilah’s story started with heartbreak. She was found abandoned in an apartment after her previous owner moved out and left her behind. The landlord discovered her and brought her to the Amarillo shelter so she could get a second chance. Now she’s safely with us and ready to start the next chapter of her life. Delilah has been declawed, which can affect how cats communicate and defend themselves. Without claws, many declawed cats rely more on hissing, swatting, or even a nip to set boundaries. Delilah will give a warning when she’s uncomfortable, and like a lot of declawed cats, she may swat or try to bite if those warnings are ignored. It’s her way of saying, “Hey, I need a little space.” That said, she is mostly very sweet and social, and we expect her personality to continue to settle as she adjusts to a new environment. She just arrived, so we’re still getting to know her and learning what makes her feel safe and happy. Because she is declawed, Delilah will do best in a calm home with people who understand cat body language and will respect her signals. Declawed cats often thrive when they feel secure and don’t have to worry about defending themselves. For now, Delilah is decompressing and showing us who she is. As we learn more about her personality, we’ll share updates — but one thing is already clear: she deserved better than being left behind, and we’re determined to make sure her future is much brighter. 🖤🐾

Story
Meet Remi 🐾 4-5 month old spayed female Remi has officially entered her cuddle era — and she’s loving it. Born to a feral mama, Remi didn’t get the easiest start in life. Thankfully, she was found young and given the chance to begin socialization, and she’s continued blossoming in foster care. Now? She loves cuddles. Remi has learned that people are safe and comforting, and she leans into affection with a sweetness that feels extra special because you know she’s chosen to trust. She enjoys being close, soaking up pets, and settling in beside her person once she feels secure. She would do beautifully in a patient home that appreciates the quiet reward of earning a young cat’s trust. With continued love and consistency, Remi is going to be a deeply devoted companion. If you’re looking for a gentle girl who has already come so far — and will only keep blossoming — Remi is ready for her next chapter. 🤍
