Story
Meet Soy Sauce 🖤🐾 Soy Sauce is a beautiful tuxedo girl who's learning that people aren't so scary after all. When she first arrived in foster care, she preferred to stay hidden and watch the world from a safe distance. Since then, she's made wonderful progress. She now comes out to observe the other cats, has grown comfortable around the resident dogs, and even enjoys the occasional play session. While she's still a shy girl, Soy Sauce has discovered that she loves gentle head rubs. Like many cats who are still building confidence, she's happiest when people let her set the pace. She'll let you know when she's had enough attention, and respecting those boundaries is the quickest way to earn her trust. Soy Sauce isn't looking for someone to force her into being a lap cat. She's looking for someone who understands that every cat shows love differently. She enjoys simply sharing space with her people and continues to grow more comfortable as she settles in. Because she can become startled if handled before she's ready, Soy Sauce would do best in a quiet, patient home with someone who understands shy cats and is willing to let the relationship develop naturally. Watching a timid cat gain confidence is incredibly rewarding, and Soy Sauce has already come so far. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and celebrate each little step forward. Soy Sauce's adoption fee has been reduced by 50% to help her find the patient, understanding home she deserves. We know the right person is out there, and we can't wait to help them find each other. 🖤

Story
Meet Tony Biscuits the Third 👑🐾 Estimated 6–7 years old • Neutered male • FIV+ Tony Biscuits the Third looks like life has thrown just about everything at him… and somehow he still came out the other side loving people. With his torn ear, old scars, and worn-down face, it’s pretty clear Tony has had to survive more than his fair share. He also has a few broken canine teeth from his rough past. The Amarillo shelter veterinarian assessed his teeth and did not feel extraction was necessary at this time, though his future family should monitor for any signs of discomfort or difficulty eating as he ages. And despite everything? This boy is an absolute sweetheart. Tony LOVES being pet. The second you start giving him attention, he melts into it. He’s the kind of cat who seems genuinely grateful to finally be safe and cared for. After everything he’s been through, he deserves a soft place to land and someone who will love him exactly as he is. Tony is FIV positive, so he will need either: • A home as the only cat • Or a home with other FIV+ cats FIV+ cats can still live long, happy lives with good care, and Tony deserves the chance to finally experience that life. Because of his FIV status, Tony Biscuits the Third will be available by appointment only so we can help find the best fit for him. If you’ve got a soft spot for the scruffy, battle-tested cats with giant hearts, Tony may just be your guy. 🖤

Story
Meet Liberty! 🤍🐾 Liberty is a beautiful, quiet soul looking for someone who understands that not every cat wants to be the center of attention. She's a very shy girl who prefers to observe the world from a safe, cozy hiding spot. While she'll allow gentle pets once she feels comfortable, being picked up isn't her favorite thing. Liberty is the kind of cat who will thrive in a calm, patient home where she's allowed to settle in at her own pace without pressure. We're committed to being transparent about her history. Liberty did bite a volunteer when he attempted to place her into a kennel. It was an isolated incident during a stressful situation, and she has not shown any signs of aggression before or since. We believe she was simply frightened and reacted defensively. Because of her timid nature, Liberty would do best in a quiet home with experienced adopters who understand that trust takes time. She may spend much of her time tucked away at first, and that's okay. The best family for Liberty will let her come out of her shell on her own schedule, celebrating the little milestones along the way. If you have a peaceful home and a heart for giving shy cats the time they deserve, Liberty just might be the one you've been waiting for. 🩷

Story
Meet Phoenix 🐾 Phoenix is a gorgeous tortie with a serious expression, an independent spirit, and a heart that's reserved for the people who take the time to earn it. She's the kind of cat who appreciates a calm home and people who understand that not every cat wants to be in your lap 24/7. Phoenix enjoys having her own space, spending her days lounging nearby, and checking in for affection when she's ready. When she's in the mood, she'll happily rub against your legs, ask for pets, and soak up attention—just let her make the first move. One of the best things about Phoenix is that she's incredibly honest. She communicates her boundaries clearly, then simply walks away when she's had enough. Once you learn her signals, she's an easy, low-drama companion who prefers peace over conflict. Phoenix is currently living with kittens and has been patient with them, offering gentle corrections when they get a little too rambunctious. She could likely live with another calm, respectful pet who will give her space, but she'd also be perfectly content as the queen of her own castle. Because she prefers a quieter environment, Phoenix is available by appointment only so you can meet her in a relaxed setting where her true personality shines. If you've been searching for a cat who is independent, respectful of your space, and happy to share quiet companionship without demanding constant attention, Phoenix may be exactly the friend you've been looking for. Phoenix's adoption fee has been reduced by 50% to help her find the calm, understanding home she's been waiting for. We know her perfect person is out there, and we can't wait to help them find each other. 🖤

Story
Rylee has a deformed mouth. She will eat dry cat food but not wet as far as I know. She likes to eat “Delectables”. She likes to smell your food but won’t take it, but if she tries then you would be able to tell. She will not go to the bathroom outside, but likes to be outside for at least a little bit. If you want her to lay on you, you have to wait for her to stand on your lap and then pet her. She does not like car rides or being locked up in a carrier or in a separate room. She will meow the whole time. She is messy with her litter.

Story
Meet Butch! 🧡 At 17 pounds, Butch isn't just a cat—he's a whole lot of cat to love. Butch spent the first 5 years of his life with one family before being surrendered when a new cat joined the household and things just didn't work out. Unfortunately, we weren't given much information about how he does with other cats long-term, so we're still learning about him ourselves. What we do know? Butch is an absolute sweetheart. He loves attention, adores chin scratches, and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. If you're looking for a cat who enjoys being loved on, Butch is ready to volunteer for the job. We're also getting some encouraging updates from his foster home. After accidentally slipping out of his room, Butch calmly walked right past a resident cat with no reaction at all. He has also been around the foster's dogs and showed no reaction to them either. While proper introductions are still important and we can't guarantee how he'll do in every home, these early signs are very promising. Because of his history, we still think Butch may be happiest as the center of attention in his new home. However, with slow introductions and the right match, he may be able to peacefully coexist with other cats or even dogs. If you're looking for a big, handsome guy with an even bigger heart, Butch might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why we've all fallen for those sweet cheeks and purr-worthy chin scratches. 🐾❤️
