Story
Hi, I`m MISS TEA! I`m a retired momma cat, and I`m ready to relax and enjoy the good life in my new forever home. I`m a bit shy, but once I warm up to you, I can be quite affectionate and love to get pets and loving. I`m a talker too, and I`ll gladly share all my knowledge and opinions if it looks like you`re interested. ;) Did I mention I`m really good with other cats? In my foster home, I like to snuggle with another cat during morning naps, and I enjoy chasing and wrestling for play time too! It`s been a busy time for me, but I hope to find my forever home soon. Will it be yours?READY TO ADOPT? Story
Little Pea is a gentle, sensitive 7-year-old girl who truly blossoms in a calm, quiet home. She’s a beautiful grey and tan dilute with the softest expression to match her sweet personality.Little Pea has spent the past few years in foster care, where she’s made steady progress building confidence. She can be shy at first and may hide when something startles her, but with patience and consistency, she comes around and forms strong bonds with her people. Once she feels safe, she enjoys window watching, quiet companionship, and gentle affection. She’s not a fan of being brushed, but she’ll happily settle in near you once she trusts you. She’s used to a peaceful household and would do best with a quiet family who understands that some cats just need a little extra time to feel secure. Quick changes or busy environments may cause her to retreat, but give her stability and she’ll reward you with loyalty and quiet devotion.Little Pea is spayed, up to date on vaccines (including a 3-year rabies vaccine through 2028), and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She’s had dental care in the past and is currently doing well medically. If you believe that the best relationships are built slowly and gently, Little Pea might be your perfect match. She’s not flashy. She’s not bold. She’s just a soft-hearted girl looking for a safe place to land.READY TO ADOPT? Story
Meet Shasta — a shy sweetheart who’s quietly learning to trust the world.Shasta is a beautiful brown-and-white tabby who came to us with her brother, Star, but they do not need to be adopted together. What Shasta does need is another friendly, confident cat in her new home — a feline buddy who can show her the ropes and help her feel safe.Shasta is still finding her confidence with people. She isn’t quite ready for much hands-on attention yet, but she’s safe, cared for, and making slow, steady progress. With time, patience, and a calm environment, she’ll continue to blossom at her own pace. She often greets even her human friends with a quick hiss, but then allows pets. If you have a quiet home, room in your heart for a shy kitty, and a resident cat who would welcome a new friend, Shasta may be the perfect match. To help her find a new home faster, Shasta is an Angel`s Wish Forget-Me-Not and her adoption fee has been reduced to $0 (fully waived). This cat attends Saturday adoption events (10 AM to 2:30 PM) and Sunday Adoption Events (12pm to 3pm) at our Verona Adoption Center, and may also be adopted by appointment during the week by approved adopters. Story
Meet Mufasa and Scar — two 11-month-old brothers with a story that started far from a Pride Rock of their own. These boys first entered a shelter in Tennessee last June and have spent nearly their entire kittenhood waiting for a family. No kingdom, no devoted subjects… just a lot of time hoping someone would notice them. The good news? They haven’t let that dull their spirits one bit.Mufasa is every bit the noble, big-hearted leader his name suggests — confident, affectionate, and always ready to greet you like you’ve just returned from a long journey. Scar, despite the name, is no villain. He’s just as sweet, a little more mischievous, and perfectly happy to be your loyal sidekick (no plotting involved, we promise).Together, they’re the perfect duo: playful, social, and full of life. They love people, enjoy attention, and bring that joyful, chaotic “teenage kitten” energy that keeps life interesting. After growing up without a home, they’re more than ready to settle into one where they can finally stretch out, relax, and be spoiled like they deserve. They’ve been each other’s family through everything, so they’re looking for a home together where their bond can stay as strong as ever. After months of waiting, Mufasa and Scar are ready to leave their past behind and step into a future full of love, comfort, and maybe a few dramatic window perches worthy of a true Lion King moment.Your kingdom awaits. Just saying. These cats attend adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center on Saturdays from 10am to 2:30pm and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm. READY TO ADOPT?
