Jinx is a big, handsome boy with a gentle and sensitive soul. He can be shy around people at first and tends to keep his distance while he figures things out. When his foster’s 4-year-old and 1½-year-old granddaughters visit, Jinx prefers to observe from afar. He’s never aggressive, he simply chooses space over interaction and would rather not be touched by young children. Jinx has had limited exposure to dogs and can get startled when he hears them bark. Where he truly feels comfortable is with other cats. He gets along wonderfully with the feline friends in his foster room and clearly takes comfort in their presence. Having another cat in his future home would likely help him feel more secure. Jinx is the kind of cat who takes his time building trust. It took about four weeks before he felt comfortable enough with his foster to approach for pets, but once he decided she was safe, his sweet personality began to shine. Now he asks for affection with gentle head bumps, purrs happily when he’s being loved on, and has even shared a few nose boops. Most of the time, Jinx enjoys the quiet life, lounging on a cozy bed or cat climber and watching the world around him. She gets along very well with her feline foster friends and will sometimes curl up next to one of them for a cozy nap.
