Story
Meet Queenie: A Gentle Silver Lady Looking for Her CastleAt 8 years young, Queenie has mastered the art of being a calm, loving companion. With her stunning gray coat and soulful eyes, she is a beauty, but it’s her sweet spirit that makes her truly special.Queenie is a bit of a shy girl when she first meets new people. She isn`t the type to demand attention loudly; instead, she waits patiently for you to show her that she is safe. Once she trusts you, she reveals a heart full of love.Don`t let her shyness fool you, she is great with other animals! She previously lived with another male cat her age and two small dogs. She would likely do well in a home with other gentle pets to keep her company. At 8 years old, she is past the curtain-climbing phase and is ready for the `napping in sunbeams` phase of life.If you have a quiet spot on your couch and a little patience to let a shy girl bloom, Queenie would love to meet you.Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members to help ensure a smooth transition.Queenie is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Queenie, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
Meet Hope: A Tiny Fighter with a Big HeartIf you’re looking for a miracle in a petite, silky black package, look no further. Hope is a one-year-old survivor who is finally ready to trade her rough beginnings for a lifetime of chin scratches and sunny windowsills.Hope’s story started on the streets, where she was found by a kind `Good Samaritan` who knew she needed a hero. When she arrived at the shelter, she was in incredibly rough shape—covered in sand, severely dehydrated, and so weak she could barely walk. But true to her name, she never gave up. After plenty of medical TLC, nutritious meals, and a safe place to rest her head, this tiny girl has made a stunning recovery. She may be petite in size, but her spirit is mighty.Because she’s so petite, Hope looks like a kitten even though she’s a mature one-year-old. Despite what she’s been through, she hasn’t let it dampen her sweetness. She is remarkably gentle and seems to truly appreciate every kindness shown to her.Hope enjoys watching the world go by and will likely be your favorite companion for quiet evenings on the couch.Hope is looking for a peaceful indoor environment where she can feel secure. We`re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.Hope is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Hope, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
Meet Leonora! This sweet girl originally arrived at FVHA in the summer of 2024 as part of a cat hoarding case. She spent the first part of her life in horrible conditions amongst 50+ other cats and kittens. Leonora was adopted out into a loving home but unfortunately needed to be returned due to ongoing litterbox issues.Leonora is a beautiful girl who is reserved and shy. She`s gone through many changes in a short amount of time and is still adjusting to shelter life. Leonora will need a home with lots of patience and care to be able to fully acclimate her. Our adoption counselors will be happy to go over how best to let her open up in your home.Leonora is spayed, has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Leonora or our adoption process, please reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org

Story
Marguerite: The Independent Socialite Marguerite has officially traded her `shy shell` for a bold new life! While the shelter was overwhelming for this petite 2-year-old brown tabby, she has spent the last little bit in a foster home revealing her true, vibrant self. She isn`t just a survivor of the shelter; she’s a confident, curious girl who knows exactly what she wants.Marguerite is what we like to call `affectionately independent.` She has evolved into a social butterfly who loves to be where the action is, but she prefers to set the rules of engagement.Marguerite is a polite lady who values consent. She’ll get a little `sassy` if you dive in for pets too quickly—she prefers you offer a hand for a sniff first. She’ll let you know when she’s had enough attention with a quick love bite. She’s looking for a family that speaks `cat` and respects her boundaries. While she isn`t a lap-cuddler (yet!), she is your tiny brown shadow. She will follow you from room to room just to see what you’re up to.Marguerite has gained a massive amount of confidence around other animals. While her foster siblings weren`t quite ready to be her BFFs, Marguerite clearly wants a feline friend. She would thrive in a home with:1.A Resident Cat: A friendly, welcoming feline who can match her play style.2.Patient Humans: People who celebrate her `sassy` side and understand that she shows love by being near you rather than on top of you.3.Routine: A steady environment where she can continue to blossom.Marguerite has come so far from the `wallflower` she once was. Are you ready to welcome this quirky, curious, and beautifully honest girl into your heart?Marguerite is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Marguerite, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!
