Story
Meet Queenie: A Gentle Silver Lady Looking for Her CastleAt 8 years young, Queenie has mastered the art of being a calm, loving companion. With her stunning gray coat and soulful eyes, she is a beauty, but it’s her sweet spirit that makes her truly special.Queenie is a bit of a shy girl when she first meets new people. She isn`t the type to demand attention loudly; instead, she waits patiently for you to show her that she is safe. Once she trusts you, she reveals a heart full of love.Don`t let her shyness fool you, she is great with other animals! She previously lived with another male cat her age and two small dogs. She would likely do well in a home with other gentle pets to keep her company. At 8 years old, she is past the curtain-climbing phase and is ready for the `napping in sunbeams` phase of life.If you have a quiet spot on your couch and a little patience to let a shy girl bloom, Queenie would love to meet you.Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members to help ensure a smooth transition.Queenie is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Queenie, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
Meet Eggnog: Your New `Velcro` Best Friend!Eggnog is a 2-year-old female who came in as a stray has undergone a total transformation! While she arrived as a shy stray, she has officially found her confidence and is ready to be the heart of her new home.Eggnog is the definition of a `velcro cat.` If you’re looking for a shadow who wants to be right by your side, she is your girl! She has a heart of gold and two main speeds: the professional cuddler and the toy enthusiast. She thrives on affection and loves nothing more than curling up with her humans for long, cozy sessions, but she is also very active! She loves to engage with toys, chase things, and explore her surroundings.Eggnog was treated for an upper respiratory infection (URI) while in our care. While she’s feeling great now, she has some lingering nasal congestion. Our vet team suspects she may have Chronic Rhinitis. Essentially, Eggnog has the `permanent sniffles.` Think of it like a human with chronic allergies. She might have a little `whistle` when she breathes or the occasional sneeze, but it doesn`t slow her down one bit! This is not contagious to people or your canine friends, but can be contagious to other cats. She would be a perfect only cat or living with other cats that have Chronic Rhinitis.Eggnog also beat a skin condition called Demodex. She is officially cleared and healthy! Her soft coat is growing back beautifully, and she’s well on her way to being the fluffiest version of herself. Eggnog has found her confidence and her voice, now all she needs to find is a lap to call her own; are you ready to be her forever person? We`re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.Eggnog is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Eggnog, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
Meet Hope: A Tiny Fighter with a Big HeartIf you’re looking for a miracle in a petite, silky black package, look no further. Hope is a one-year-old survivor who is finally ready to trade her rough beginnings for a lifetime of chin scratches and sunny windowsills.Hope’s story started on the streets, where she was found by a kind `Good Samaritan` who knew she needed a hero. When she arrived at the shelter, she was in incredibly rough shape—covered in sand, severely dehydrated, and so weak she could barely walk. But true to her name, she never gave up. After plenty of medical TLC, nutritious meals, and a safe place to rest her head, this tiny girl has made a stunning recovery. She may be petite in size, but her spirit is mighty.Because she’s so petite, Hope looks like a kitten even though she’s a mature one-year-old. Despite what she’s been through, she hasn’t let it dampen her sweetness. She is remarkably gentle and seems to truly appreciate every kindness shown to her.Hope enjoys watching the world go by and will likely be your favorite companion for quiet evenings on the couch.Hope is looking for a peaceful indoor environment where she can feel secure. We`re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.Hope is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Hope, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
A Second Chance for a Sensitive SoulMeet Joono, a 5-year-old gray tabby boy. Life hasn’t been very kind to this sweet boy lately. Joono arrived at the shelter after his beloved owner passed away, leaving his entire world turned upside down. Between the loss of his person and the scary sights and sounds of the shelter, Joono is feeling a bit overwhelmed and very nervous. When he first arrived, Joono’s coat was heavily matted, but he’s already feeling much lighter after a fresh shave during his recent neuter and dental! He’s also an overweight boy who’s been enjoying a few too many treats in his past life. He’s currently looking for a partner in health to help him safely reach a more comfortable weight. He’s looking for a quiet sanctuary, a low-traffic home where he can decompress at his own pace and someone who understands that trust is earned, not given. He also needs a family committed to a structured diet to help him get back to his svelte self.Joono is a work in progress, but for the right person, he will be a loyal, loving companion. Could you be the one to show him that the world is a safe place again?Joono is neutered and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Joono or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.
