Story
Meet Eggnog, a 2-year-old female cat! She came to us as a stray.Eggnog is a gentle and somewhat shy girl who is learning to feel more confident each day. She may take a little time to settle in, but she’s making progress day by day as she builds trust and opens up to the world around her. With patience and a calm environment, Eggnog continues to show more of her sweet personality. As she grows more comfortable, Eggnog enjoys playing with toys, exploring her surroundings, and curling up near her people for cozy moments. She likes to balance quiet companionship with playful curiosity, making her a lovely fit for a home that appreciates a softer, more thoughtful cat.Eggnog would do best with an adopter who understands that confidence comes with time and is happy to let her set the pace. In the right home, she will continue to blossom into a loving companion who enjoys both adventure and comfort.Eggnog was treated for an upper respiratory infection (URI) while in our care. She does have some lingering nasal congestion, which may resolve once she settles into her new home, though it’s also possible she may have chronic rhinitis.A skin scrape showed the presence of Demodex mites. These mites can be contagious to other cats but are not contagious to humans or dogs. Eggnog has received a long-acting topical treatment for the mites and is scheduled for a recheck toward the end of January. Until her recheck confirms she is clear, she will need to be kept separate from other cats. We’re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.Eggnog is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Eggnog, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, make an appointment to meet her online, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

**Chester is in foster, please call 920-733-1717 to set up an appointment to meet him!**Meet Chester, the handsome 4 year old orange and white gentleman! Chester may not show his best self when you first meet him. He gets scared around new people and in new places. He may even hide for a few weeks in his new home. But give him a quiet room, time, and patience, and you’ll meet the REAL Chester!-Bold-Inquisitive-Demands attention-Playful beyond belief-Gets into the cutest mischief-A professional “walk-by” pet demander (doesn’t like to lay down when being pet, although he is warming up to the idea)Chester loves batting toys around on the floor, chasing string toys, and going absolutely wild for the laser pointer. He’ll trot past you for pets and gives the cutest little meow when he wants attention.Chester tolerates calm dogs and has lived peacefully with his buddy Greyson (also adoptable!). He’s naturally a shyer kitty and would do best in a quiet home with a patient adopter. If you’re patient and love a quirky cat with personality for days, Chester is your guy!Chester is neutered and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Chester or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.

Story
Marguerite: From Shuttered Soul to Social ButterflyMarguerite has officially found her wings! While the busy shelter life was a bit too much for this petite 2-year-old brown tabby, she has spent the last few weeks flourishing in a foster home. We are thrilled to report that her `shy shell` is a thing of the past—Marguerite is now a confident, curious, and incredibly sweet girl who is ready to find her forever people.Marguerite has traded her nerves for an outgoing, `purr-first` personality. In her foster home, she has revealed herself to be a deeply affectionate companion who seeks out head pets and ear scratches. She is no longer hiding; she’s exploring, engaging, and showing us just how much love she has to give.Because she has gained so much confidence around other animals in her foster home, her foster family believes Marguerite may enjoy having a feline companion to play with and learn from. She would thrive in a home that offers a steady routine, a patient family to celebrate her journey from wallflower to friend, and a commitment to slow, proper introductions with resident pets.Marguerite is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Marguerite, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, make an appointment to meet her online, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Story
Meet Leonora! This sweet girl originally arrived at FVHA in the summer of 2024 as part of a cat hoarding case. She spent the first part of her life in horrible conditions amongst 50+ other cats and kittens. Leonora was adopted out into a loving home but unfortunately needed to be returned due to ongoing litterbox issues.Leonora is a beautiful girl who is reserved and shy. She`s gone through many changes in a short amount of time and is still adjusting to shelter life. Leonora will need a home with lots of patience and care to be able to fully acclimate her. Our adoption counselors will be happy to go over how best to let her open up in your home.Although Leonora has lived with other cats most of her life, we are hopeful that her litterbox issues will improve if she gets to be the Queen of her own castle! If you have other animals, our adoption counselors are happy to advise you on how to best integrate her to your home.Leonora is spayed, has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Leonora or our adoption process, please reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org
