Jasper suffered a loss in his vision after having a bad reaction to the anesthetic used when he was neutered. But he doesn’t let his lack of vision stop him from bonding deeply, exploring his environment, and showing so much love. His loss of vision makes up a very small part of who he is, it is incredible how he has adapted to functioning like any other cat would. All he needs is a calm, stable, and loving household where he can feel safe and secure. With the right environment, he will return your care tenfold with his boundless love and trust. Priscilla and Wilbur are a sweet pair of bonded Seniors that were transferred in from another rescue. Both cats as social and affectionate, loving contact with their people as much as with one another. Often times they can be found curled up together in the same bed and affectionately grooming each other. Toffee is a very special little tabby; she is a polydactyl, which means she has extra toes. Polydactyl cats were made famous by Earnest Hemmingway. Toffee is as soft as can be and has the cutest little smooshie face. She loves to be petted and brushed. Fig is a sensitive soul looking for her forever family. Fig came to NAS back in November 2023 as a stray. This sweet girl is not cut out for the busy shelter environment and has thankfully found some great foster homes to temporarily call home. Since being in a foster home, Fig has shown us what kind of kitten antics she can get into now that she has settled in. Fig enjoys peeking out the windows and will sometimes just be a tail peeking out from the curtains. She loves vertical scratchers and playing with toys as well. Fig is very food motivated and loves to be by her peoples` side, following them from room to room. Fig will need a patient family and calm household who will let her warm up at her own pace. Fig is currently in a foster home. She is on a once daily anxiety medication that gets mixed in her food every morning. Joy and her mom Bella came to us when life with their previous family took an unfortunate change. Since being with us both girls have shown to be sweet, social and affectionate. Joy will often be the first to come up to visitors and say hello but some times she`d rather hang back and let Bella check it out first.
