Meet Auggie! 🐾 This handsome 10-month-old Catahoula is about 45 lbs of sweet, goofy, smart-but-slightly-dopey puppy charm! Auggie is amazing with dogs of all sizes and loves his people and kiddos. He’s friendly, affectionate, and just an all-around good boy. He’s also a pro at using the doggie door and settles quietly in his crate… although he may occasionally make you work a little to convince him that going in is a good idea. 😂 Auggie isn’t super high-energy, but he’s still a young Catahoula who needs regular activity, mental stimulation, and things to keep his clever brain busy. Otherwise, he may find his own entertainment—and it’s usually something he shouldn’t be getting into! Hi, I’m Josie! I’m a 40lb, 2-year-old Catahoula mix who was originally adopted from the Roswell Humane Society in New Mexico. Unfortunately, I’m being returned because I discovered that chickens are a little too tempting for me, so I’ll need a home without them. Other than my chicken obsession, I’m a wonderful girl! I’m great with dogs, cats, and kids, good on a leash, housetrained, and can be trusted home alone. I’m also spayed and fully vaccinated. I’ll be arriving October 3rd and am hoping to find a loving, chicken-free forever home!

Social Life: Gets along great with other dogs! She loves making canine buddies. She hasn't been tested around cats, other small pets, or kids yet, but her gentle nature is a wonderful foundation. Camila, DNA results pending, is such a sweet, affectionate girl with so much love to give. More than anything, she wants to be close to her people. She’s a little Velcro pup who will happily follow you around, curl up next to you on the couch, and soak up every belly rub, ear scratch, and snuggle she can get. Camila is also excited about life and loves to have fun! She LOVES playing with all of her foster siblings and looks forward to her daily walks. She’s incredibly inquisitive and enjoys exploring new places and investigating all the interesting sights, sounds, and smells around her. She may approach something unfamiliar with a little uncertainty at first, but it usually doesn’t take long before her curiosity takes over. Having other dogs around has been wonderful for Camila. She enjoys their companionship, loves having playmates, and benefits from watching them show her the ropes. But as much as she loves her dog friends, her favorite thing is still knowing her person is nearby. Camila is smart, eager to please, and very treat motivated, which makes training fun! She already knows sit and is working on down and stay. Sometimes her excitement gets the best of her and she wants to greet you with a jump, so her foster family is helping her learn that four paws on the floor is the better way to say hello. She’s also doing wonderfully with her home routine. Camila is potty trained, uses the dog door, and sleeps peacefully in her kennel all night until about 6 a.m. After a day of playing, walking, and exploring, she’s more than happy to settle onto the couch for some serious cuddle time. Camila is not reactive, but she may bark when she first sees someone she doesn’t know. It’s simply her way of saying, “Give me a minute to figure out who you are.” Once she has a chance to check you out and realizes everything is okay, she quickly comes in for affection. Every day, Camila is learning more, gaining confidence, and discovering that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She has such a gentle, loving spirit and is looking for a family who will continue helping her experience all the good things life has to offer.
