Story
Hi! I'm CJ, and I'm a 50 pound cattle dog mix, about 5 years old. I like everyone I meet, canine or human. No one is a stranger to me! My favorite things:-Making canine and human friends-Belly rubs, naps, and cuddling-Food!-Walks with stops to smell things. What I'm looking for in a home:-Another dog friend! (preferred but not required)-Either a yard, or someone that enjoys spending time outside and lets me sniff around-People who are home a lot and wont leave me alone too much! I'm the bestest boy and am ready to settle into the next part of my life! I do well in a kennel if my dog friend is next to me, I walk nicely on leash, know a few tricks, and do the best full body wiggle when I see you!  Do I sound like the buddy for you?! If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $250 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. I have genetically bad hips and the rescue is in the process of fixing them for me. I had the first one fixed and am recovering from that currently but doing better every day! (I can still walk 2-3 miles a day, It really isnt slowing me down too much) ##1538559##

Story
Mixer is a sweet, affectionate 2.5 year old pup who we adopted as an 10 week old. He has had a lot of training, both individual, group and even an board and train and knows all of his commands (although his attention span for holding them leaves a bit to be desired). We also have a 6 year old son and as our son has gotten older and started having friends older, we have begun to notice that Mixer is protective of our son. On a couple of occasions he has nipped at friends - never breaking skin and not really even 'biting' but open mouth putting teeth on skin. While he is a herding breed, this is not something we can take the chance with small children in the home and have had to make the very heartbreaking decision that we are not the right family for our sweet pup. We are looking for the right next home for Mixer and know he would do well with loving adults who can give him lots of love and attention and if you had lots of space for him to run, even better!

Rocky is a nervous but sweet boy! He arrived at our rescue partner as an owner surrender when his family could no longer afford to care for him. He did great with other dogs in the playgroup before arriving to us and play bows when he's uncomfortable. Rocky is such a sweet boy! Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays!
