Story
Meet Sheldon! Sheldon is a 9-month-old catahoula dog mix? DNA test is pending!! (about 30 lbs) and he’s now been with us just over two months so we know him very well Sheldon’s journey didn’t start easy. He was found abandoned in a house with another dog, severely underweight and covered in ticks. After that, he spent two long months waiting in an overcrowded shelter and was on his last 24 hours before we stepped up. Despite everything he’s been through, Sheldon has grown and learned so much with us. Sheldon is now healthy and at a proper weight, he is a medium-high energy pup who is full of personality, he loves to snuggle and is wonderful with new people. With dogs, he does best once properly introduced — and then he’s all in for playtime! His highlights: - Crate trained - House trained — lets you know when he needs to go out - Great on leash - Excellent in the car - Knows basic obedience, including a solid “middle” command - Extremely smart and highly treat-motivated - Loves scent games and has fantastic potential for dog sports or service-style training Sheldon would thrive with someone who understands herding or working breeds so that he continues to grow into a confident and loving boy. Watching Sheldon go from a scared, fragile puppy to a confident, playful dog has been incredible. He didn’t survive everything he went through just to be overlooked now. All he needs now is for someone to believe in him. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Caesar is a 1-year-old Catahoula mix with the coolest party-colored eyes you’ve ever seen. He’s super dog-friendly, playful without being chaotic, and just… easy to have around. He’s a smart boy—but not too smart 😉—the kind who’s happy to go along with the flow and make you laugh along the way. Friendly, fun, and low-drama, Caesar would fit right in with an active family or a home with other dogs. He’s the perfect mix of goofy and good. Caesar joined MHCR from a shelter in New Mexico where he quickly joined the ranks of staff favorites. He frequented the doggie playgroups there, too and was a wonderful choice when needing to test out the temperament of new dogs. Caesar is in foster in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/caesar You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Malinali is the sweetest dog I’ve ever met! We inherited her from my brother who was allergic and we’ve had her for six years now and she’s been a delight. Unfortunately I moved out of state and can no longer care for her and her brother who live at my mother’s. My mother is a little Older and has allergies to both dogs so we’re trying to rehome them ASAP and make sure they will be taken care of! Mali is a sweet, very smart girl who’s adventurous, and loving. We’d love to find her a new home. She’s a perfect family dog or for someone who works from home.

Story
Cowboy is a 2-year old Catahoula mix. He is shy at first, but he has really broken out of his shell and gained more confidence.  Cowboy is a sweet pup with a heart full of love. He's a perfect blend of playful and cuddly. He loves playing tug-of-war and chasing his foster sister, though he's still learning how to play fetch. He also loves coming up to you for ear scratches and kisses.  Cowboy is making efforts on his potty training and leash training. He does well mastering his puzzle feeders and is food motivated for training. He also does great in his crate and sleeps through the night.  Cowboy is great at meeting other dogs on walks and plays well with his foster sister. He would do well in a home with another dog, but also wouldn't mind being spoiled as an only-dog, too.  ##2629888##

Story
Meet Fiona!  This pretty little lady stole our hearts with her stunning green eyes—so of course we had to name her Fiona, just like the princess from Shrek! Fiona is a Catahoula Pitty mix who is already doing amazing with potty training and learning to go outside to do her business. She has a wonderfully balanced personality: independent and confident, yet incredibly loving and sweet. She has great puppy energy and loves to play, but she’s just as happy curling up next to you for snuggles—especially if there’s sports on TV. One of her newest (and cutest) talents? Chasing her own tail! And true to her princess name, Fiona also loves admiring herself in the mirror—she knows she’s cute! Fiona loves peanut butter treats, long naps, cozy cuddles, and giving lots of puppy kisses. She’s affectionate, playful, and full of charm, and she’s ready to find a forever home where she can grow, love, and be someone’s best friend. Could Fiona be your happily-ever-after?  ##2637626##

Story
***PLEASE NOTE*** This is just a courtesy post: Freyja is NOT with Farfel’s Farm & Rescue. Please do not inquire or apply through Farfel’s — this is a courtesy post to help Freyja’s owner find her a new home. For all inquiries, please contact Sara at sara406368@gmail.com OR (970) 658-0470. Her rehoming fee is $150 through her current owner. Freyja is a gorgeous 6-year-old, 50 lb Ridgeback / Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her ears. She’s incredibly sweet, deeply affectionate, and will gladly trade belly rubs for unconditional love. A world-class cuddler, Freyja loves nothing more than curling up beside you on the couch after a fun day of sniffing and exploring the outdoors. This smart, soulful girl adores people and warms up quickly with a gentle, patient approach. Once she trusts you (which doesn’t take long!), she’s all about love, loyalty, and snuggles. She’s house-trained, healthy, and happiest when she has room to run and a cozy spot to nap beside her human. Freyja’s Perfect Home: Freyja thrives in a calm, consistent environment and would do best as the only dog in the home. She can be nervous around other dogs and needs an experienced, confident owner who can help her continue to thrive using positive reinforcement. She would do well in an adult home or one with older children (12+). She’s done well with cats she’s lived with, though she may show prey drive with unfamiliar ones. Freyja is used to sleeping near her person — either in an open crate or near the bed — and finds comfort in being close to those she trusts. She’s got a big personality and an even bigger heart, and with the right home, she’ll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for. Why She’s Being Rehomed: This decision comes with a heavy heart. Freyja is deeply loved, and if circumstances hadn’t changed, she would never be leaving her current home. After moving in with a partner and their dogs, the multi-dog environment has proven too stressful for her. She deserves a peaceful, loving forever home where she can be the center of attention. If you’re a kind, experienced dog lover looking for a sweet, sensitive girl to share your life with, Freyja may be your perfect match. She has so much love to give — she just needs the right person to give it to. Please share to help Freyja find her forever home! She’s spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on her vaccinations. Rehoming Fee: $150 (to ensure a committed adopter) Location: Boulder, CO Contact: Sara at sara406368@gmail.com OR (970) 658-0470 Disclaimer: The dog you are interested in is a courtesy post. Farfel's Farm & Rescue often helps dogs outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website as a resource to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Farfel's Farm & Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these dogs, so no information about a courtesy post dog is guaranteed.
