Story
Meet Sheldon! Sheldon is a 9-month-old catahoula/cattle dog mix! DNA test completed and he is one cool herding/Hunting dog! Cattle dog 51% Catahoula 21% Blue Lacy 11% Coonhound 7% Ridgeback 6% Pitbull 4% Sheldon’s journey didn’t start easy. He was found abandoned in a house with another dog, severely underweight and covered in ticks. After that, he spent two long months waiting in an overcrowded shelter and was on his last 24 hours before we stepped up. Despite everything he’s been through, Sheldon has grown and learned so much with us. Sheldon is now healthy and at a proper weight, he is a medium-high energy pup who is full of personality, he loves to snuggle and is wonderful with new people. With dogs, he does best once properly introduced, can be a little reactive at first but after he gets to know a dog he’s all in for playtime! Would do best with another dog that is playful and social No cats for him Good with kids (isn't living with one but has met plenty at breweries and out and about) Exercise needs are minimum 2x40 min of exercise a day, can be through many different activities: - running, walking, or hiking - play: flirt pole, tug, fetch - training: Sheldon loves to work and learn new tricks! - scent work - train to use a treadmill indoors His highlights: - Crate trained and House trained, he lets you know when he needs to go out - Great on leash - Excellent in the car - Knows basic obedience, including a solid “middle” command - Extremely smart and highly treat-motivated. Will do anything for a treat! - Loves scent games and has fantastic potential for dog sports Check out his Instagram: savingposodogs All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
He's 5, we got him during lockdown. As years passed he went from a playful puppy to a snoozy boy, he found his favorite couch and learned he loved bones. He's had training knows how to sit, lay, stay and shake but also learned to snuggle when you are at your worst, he loves treats but is picky as most dogs are so he has some pallet for his treats. He's a high energy dog and will love runs, hikes and walks, though however he is a guardian/hunting dog. He gets distracted at rabbits however with some correction, relaxes as you continue. He lived with another dog who was a beautiful staffy and he saw her as his mom, unfortunately she passed away. Though as all good boys, he has some issues jumping the yard, he's not good with small dogs, but is amazing with kids. He needs a new home that will take time with him and work with him. He may have some challenges but he can work through them. He needs to be rehomed before he's put down.

Story
Hi my name is Spring and I am searching for my forever home. I’m out going and will explore new areas but I want to make sure my mom isn’t too far away. I am trained to use puppy pads and I’m working on going outside. I’m doing okay as long as I go out every 1.5 hours. I’m such a lover. I like to cuddle after my play session and want to be wherever my people are. If you are looking for a puppy you can train. I'm your girl. I’m so smart and eager to please. We have to make sure we have time to cuddle too.  ##2642367##

Story
Poncho is very shy when first meeting someone but quickly comes out of his shell. He is the sweetest most loving boy. He has a very laid back personality and his favorite past times are head scratches, walks, and any sort of treats. He does well with walks and gets very excited when he knows he is about to leave for one. He adores attention and has become his foster mom's shadow, never leaving her side.  Poncho is extremely tolerant of other housemates, including kids and dogs. Even though he is very tolerant, he would probably do better in a calmer environment that matches his energy. He prefers women over men but warms up to men as long as they are sweet and loving.  He does have a slight food protective nature as he may have gone without food in the past but as long as he is fed enough and children don't mess with him while eating, he is fine. He does make an excellent dish washer and Roomba though. He is always willing to help with any spills. He does fairly well with potty training but he does have accidents from time to time. As long as he has his daily walk and plenty of time outside then accidents are minimum. He does get very nervous if you quickly address the accident, so trying to be patient with him seems to work the best. He doesn't like the kennel and cries when he has to go in one but he hasn't destroyed anything when leaving him out if having to leave the house.  Poncho will make an amazing companion to his new forever family. He is a beautiful, old soul and deserves all the head scrates, love and compassion someone has to offer. His foster family is sad he will have to leave but they know he will have an amazing new life.  ##2661667##

Story
Hi my name is Stunner and I am a growing girl. I’m very friendly and love to meet people.  I love to play with my sisters and anyone else who will play with me. I also love to cuddle after my play session. I haven’t been on my leash yet because I’m too small but I’m sure I will love exploring new places. I am trained to puppy pads but my foster mom has to put blocks on the corners or I will drag it around. I’m working on going outside and doing pretty good. My foster mom says it’s because I’m a smart girl. She also loves the spot on my side because it’s shaped like a heart. She has given me the nickname Romeo because I’m such a lover and she loves my deep blue eyes. I’m looking for my forever home who is ready to offer training and consistency and most importantly love me.  ##2642368##

Story
Sour is a confident, playful, and incredibly sweet pup who brings joy wherever she goes. She’s already using the dog door like a pro and is learning the potty routine more each day. While she’s still getting comfortable with the crate, she’ll happily wander in on her own to relax, showing how adaptable and easygoing she is. She absolutely loves to snuggle and might just be one of the best cuddle buddies around. Sour adores kids, gets along great with other dogs, and is always ready to play. With her loving personality and beautiful blue eyes, she’s going to make one lucky family a very happy pet parent. ##2642364##

Story
***PLEASE NOTE*** This is just a courtesy post: Freyja is NOT with Farfel’s Farm & Rescue. Please do not inquire or apply through Farfel’s — this is a courtesy post to help Freyja’s owner find her a new home. For all inquiries, please contact Sara at sara406368@gmail.com OR (970) 658-0470. Her rehoming fee is $150 through her current owner. Freyja is a gorgeous 6-year-old, 50 lb Ridgeback / Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her ears. She’s incredibly sweet, deeply affectionate, and will gladly trade belly rubs for unconditional love. A world-class cuddler, Freyja loves nothing more than curling up beside you on the couch after a fun day of sniffing and exploring the outdoors. This smart, soulful girl adores people and warms up quickly with a gentle, patient approach. Once she trusts you (which doesn’t take long!), she’s all about love, loyalty, and snuggles. She’s house-trained, healthy, and happiest when she has room to run and a cozy spot to nap beside her human. Freyja’s Perfect Home: Freyja thrives in a calm, consistent environment and would do best as the only dog in the home. She can be nervous around other dogs and needs an experienced, confident owner who can help her continue to thrive using positive reinforcement. She would do well in an adult home or one with older children (12+). She’s done well with cats she’s lived with, though she may show prey drive with unfamiliar ones. Freyja is used to sleeping near her person — either in an open crate or near the bed — and finds comfort in being close to those she trusts. She’s got a big personality and an even bigger heart, and with the right home, she’ll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for. Why She’s Being Rehomed: This decision comes with a heavy heart. Freyja is deeply loved, and if circumstances hadn’t changed, she would never be leaving her current home. After moving in with a partner and their dogs, the multi-dog environment has proven too stressful for her. She deserves a peaceful, loving forever home where she can be the center of attention. If you’re a kind, experienced dog lover looking for a sweet, sensitive girl to share your life with, Freyja may be your perfect match. She has so much love to give — she just needs the right person to give it to. Please share to help Freyja find her forever home! She’s spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on her vaccinations. Rehoming Fee: $150 (to ensure a committed adopter) Location: Boulder, CO Contact: Sara at sara406368@gmail.com OR (970) 658-0470 Disclaimer: The dog you are interested in is a courtesy post. Farfel's Farm & Rescue often helps dogs outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website as a resource to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Farfel's Farm & Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these dogs, so no information about a courtesy post dog is guaranteed.
