Story
Meet Buddy Bear.  This handsome boy is looking for his furever home. Buddy Bear is a 65-pound 2-year (est bd 2/15/2023) Catahoula Leopard/Great Dane mix. He’s a love bug who would like nothing better than to lean on you while enjoying his day. Buddy has a very chill demeanor – watching the yard from the deck, lounging in his crate, but his teenage energy kicks in when he plays and gets excited. He picks up new tricks very quickly, is highly motivated by treats, and loves his routines. He’s learned to sit, stay, lie down, and shake, and is currently working on his leash manners. He would do well in a home that can keep him active and one with a 6-foot fenced-in yard. He LOVES to run! He wants nothing other than to be part of a loving family and love them back! Put in an app at EAPL.com and make this guy your new best friend!   His adoption fee is $375 Put in an application at eapl.comApril 27, 2025, 6:59 am

Story
We adopted Petey as a puppy at a local animal shelter. We have had Petey for 2 years and love him to pieces. Petey loves his people, and loves to cuddle when ever one of us is sick or tired. He loves his walks and we are working on not pulling so much on the leash but there is so much to smell. He is kind of getting interested in fetch but that usually turns to keep away or tug of war. He loves to find a random stick but is not destructive to anything in the house other than a trash can if left out or unlocked. Recently we had an issue where he got into a fight with our neighbors dog and they had a nasty scrap in which our neighbors dog required some stitches and wounds and a sore leg at the animal ER. It is not safe or fair for our neighbors dog to be out when Petey is out and therefore we leash him whenever we go to the back yard and this is not fair to him or conducive to our lives either as we have 2 teenage kids and our chaotic life right now with all of the events.
