Story
Meet Simba the 5-Month-Old Lovebug Simba is a handsome, snuggly pup with a heart of pure gold. Simba is a mix of Boxer, Terrier, and possibly Catahoula hound. At just 5 months old, he’s already potty trained, knows basic commands, and is incredibly food-motivated, which makes training fun and easy! He’s a total social butterfly who loves all people and dogs. Whether he’s greeting you with his signature hug, offering sweet puppy kisses, or curling up on your lap, Simba brings joy everywhere he goes. He walks nicely on a leash and is always ready for an adventure… or a nap on a fluffy bed. Simba’s personality is the perfect blend of playful, gentle, and deeply loving. He’s the kind of dog who looks right into your soul with those warm eyes and says, “You’re my human.” If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered, affectionate companion who will grow into an incredible family dog, Simba is your boy. Put in an application at eapl.com His adoption fee is $375 November 13, 2025, 7:31 am

Story
Angel came to us after her previous guardian passed away and she is now looking for a new home for her next chapter. She was primarily an outdoor dog in her other home, so she is looking forward to a spoiled life as an indoor companion! Angel lived with another dog previously, but appears inexperienced meeting novel dogs, so if entering a multi-dog home, a dog meet is required at the shelter prior to adoption. Angel might also appreciate a quieter home without the energy and excitement of young children. Come meet this sweet girl today! Our team describes Angel as: curious, resilient, and clever!

Story
Tony is a handsome pup that is looking for a home where he can get lots of walks, play with toys, and play tug o` war! Tony can sometimes be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but once he`s gotten a few snacks (no chicken, please!) he`s putty in your hands! He loves to romp and chase toys, but you`ll be the one doing the fetching - it`s worth it to see him be so goofy and chase the toy! He loves to give licks on the face and really won`t stop until you ask him to. After he`s all tuckered out, a good snuggle is all Tony wants. In his previous home, Tony enjoyed training and has learned many cues like laying on his bed while his humans ate, staying out of the kitchen, and walking very politely on leash. He can`t wait to learn more and find adventure with his new family! At this time, HSBV will only rehome him to a family without children or with children over the age of 10.

Story
Meet Sheldon! Sheldon’s journey started in Texas, where he and his brother were found abandoned in an empty house, just 12 pounds of skin and bones, covered in fleas and ticks, and battling a tough case of hookworms. Even then, his gentle spirit shone through. With good vet care, love, and lots of food, Sheldon has made an incredible recovery, he’s healthy, full of energy, and ready for his next chapter! Now this young Catahoula/cattle dog mix is discovering how fun life can be. He’s still a little unsure, but each day he shows more confidence and personality. Once he trusts you, he’s all wiggles and zoomies, and he will hop up to ask for hugs. Shelton sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and is learning how to just be a happy dog again. He’s looking for a patient, loving family who will keep helping him build confidence and show him that he’s finally safe and home. From a scared, fragile pup to a bright, playful spirit, Sheldon’s transformation has been amazing to watch. - He is crate trained and house trained - He is reactive to other dogs and we are working on it. It is due to lack of confidence so would benefit from someone with no other dogs in the household at this time - Walks pretty well on leash just gets spooked here and there - Loves to cuddle - Will be higher energy once fully grown Comes fully vetted and with 2 free one on one dog training sessions

Story
Blue’s Dating Profile  About Me:Hi! I’m Blue — a big, strong, and gentle boy with a heart bursting with love. Speaking of love, my love languages are quality time and physical touch (so yes, cuddles are a must!). I’m an outgoing, social guy who adores spending time with humans and other dogs alike. I’m looking for an active family who can keep up with my playful energy and has plenty of time to spend with me. I’d love a home with another doggy friend, too! I’m a smart, eager-to-please pup who’s still polishing my manners, so I’d appreciate someone patient and ready to continue my training — I promise to learn fast! Likes:Long walks, watching bicycles go by, cuddles, furry friends, Kongs, treats, car rides, trips to Petco, and cozy evenings at home. Dislikes:Crates, being left alone, big trucks, and baths (but I’ll tolerate them if you promise extra treats after!). Ideal Match:An affectionate, active human (or two) who enjoys outdoor adventures, belly rubs, and has room in their heart — and home — for a loyal best friend. ##2575292##
