Story
Meet Roxy, a lively puppy with a heart full of love and a personality that's sure to bring laughter into any home. She's as sweet as sugar, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a friendly lick. Roxy's quirky charm lies in her mismatched eyes - one blue, one brown, each a mirror to her playful and goofy nature. She's a funny little character, her antics guaranteed to keep you entertained. But more than her humor, Roxy is a loyal companion, her affectionate nature a testament to her loving spirit. Adopt Roxy and you're not just getting a pet, you're gaining a friend, a confidante, a source of joy and laughter. Her unique spirit is sure to enrich your life in countless ways. Adopt Roxy, because everyone deserves a friend who looks at them with love in their eyes, no matter what color they are. Roxy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Pepper   Female, Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix, Age 6.5 months (10/11/23), Weight 49lbs   Meet Pepper, a delightful puppy with a warm and affectionate nature. She's got a playful spirit and enjoys an active lifestyle, perfect for someone who loves outdoor adventures or playful backyard sessions. While she's always up for a game of fetch or tug of war and can keep going for hours, she balances her playfulness with a friendly demeanor towards kids and other dogs. Pepper is curious and loves treats, which makes training her both fun and rewarding.   At home, Pepper is well-mannered and house-trained, reliably indicating when it's time to go outside. She travels well in the car, making her a great companion for road trips or visits to the park. Although Pepper isn't much for cuddles, preferring to stay active and explore, she finds comfort in her own space, sleeping peacefully on her dog bed in her foster's bedroom each night.   Pepper would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she has room to play and perhaps another dog to keep her company. She's ideally suited for an active owner or a family that can provide her with plenty of playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation. If you're looking for a sweet and lively companion to share in your active life, Pepper might just be the perfect match.   House Trained Good with Dogs Good with Kids Ok with cats Good in the car     * The adoption fee of $525 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and transport fee.   * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions     Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   * Additional information is available on our site caninecompassionfund.org April 24, 2024, 6:05 pm

Story
Meet the Quarterback litter: Tim Tebow, Geno Smith, Peyton Manning, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Matt Barkely!  Paws Rescue League saved these pups around the time of the Super Bowl, which is how they got their names. Their brother Josh has his DNA test done that came back as Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. These are medium sized dogs  Geno is a gentle sweet guy who is more cat like that hyper puppy like.  He loves to sunbath in the backyard by himself. He's got the cutest wrinkly face, that loves to give kisses.  He gets along with smaller dogs better than larger dogs, so he would prefer small friends like him. He's small compared to his brother Tim Tebow. He's currently 17 lbs.  He likes kids and would be fine with cats (but hasn't been cat tested)  Apply today to add Geno, one of the Quarterback pups,  to your family!  ##1987586##

Story
Meet Atlas. While his DNA is very rich in dog breeds (18 actually), his appearance is quite unique, with two breeds as the main standouts. His face and ear structure look mostly Pitbull, but his "glass eyes", height, thick body (about 65 lbs), and mottled coat are distinct characteristics of his distant Catahoula Leopard dog relatives. Atlas loves a good cuddle and is the best hugger. Although he can be a little stand-offish around strangers at first, he warms up quickly to people of all ages. He does well with children and with other dogs that do not have as dominant of a personality as his own. He loves hikes, exploring, runs/walks, chasing balls and frisbees, playing tug, and chewing on toys. He will dig from boredom if he is left alone outside for long periods of time without sufficient engagement. He knows a few commands but usually prefers to perform for treats. Atlas is an affectionate, active dog that needs an equally loving and active family to meet his emotional and physical needs.   If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Atlas is located in Alabama and available for transport. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.
