Story
Meet Speckle, a super sweet 1 year old spayed female Catahoula/terrier mix! She weighs about 40 lbs and is full grown. She was very underweight when she was picked up as a stray in east TN and taken into rescue, she has gained some weight but still needs to put on a little more. She has a beautiful red merle coat and light green eyes. Photos do not do this girl justice!  Speckle is shy and nervous at first, but she warms up with some patience (and some treats) and is very friendly and loving once she knows she can trust you! This sweet girl has a youthful spirit and is happy and playful! Speckle is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ (because she is young and exuberant and may unintentionally knock over a small child). She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From Speckle's current foster: "Speckle enjoys playing with other dogs, but she also enjoys being with humans and would love to hang all day with them if she could. She has a happy energy level, but not out of control. She loves to give hugs, sleeps through the night, and hasn't had any accidents in the house. She is the sweetest girl with golden eyes." Speckle medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweetheart today!  ##2172227##

Those ears! Those eyes! This handsome pup is Barry. He is a catahoula leopard dog mix. Barry is 10 months old and currently 38 pounds. He is expected to stay a medium sized dog (25-60 pounds). Barry is looking for a forever family that will embrace his energetic nature and give him the love he so desires. Barry has a high every level. He will need daily exercise (both physical and mental) to become the best family member he can be. He would make a great running or hiking partner for his new family. Barry gets along well with children and other dogs after proper introductions. He would fit in nicely with a family that currently has another dog or can be an only dog. Barry would be best in a home without cats. Barry is working on house, crate and leash training. He is a smart pup, so he will undoubtedly pick these important skills up quickly with the patience and consistency of his new family. If Barry sounds like your perfect match, read below! The adoption fee for Barry is $500. Story
Just look at those baby blues! This gorgeous girl is Hannah. She is a 15 month-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. Hannah currently weighs 44 pounds. Hannah is longing for a family to call her own. She is well trained and would love to live in a home with another dog. Hannah has high energy level but is very quiet and easygoing in a home with another dog. She would be a great partner on your outdoor adventures! Hannah enjoys playing outside and will need daily exercise, both mental and physical, to be the best family member she can be. The key to helping Hannah be a balanced, obedient companion is two fold - daily crate time and very active playtime with another dog. Hannah displays cautious and suspicious behavior with new people and things. This behavior disappears quickly if properly handled. Hannah is no couch potato. She needs a person that will actively interact with her during her day. On the other hand she is remarkably calm and content in her crate for a few hours. Hannah is good with other dogs and children aged 12 years and older. She would do best in a home without cats. A home with a fenced yard would be a plus withe Hannah - she loves to run and play, especially with another dog. Hannah is very affectionate and sweet. She enjoys daily attention from her people. Hannah is leash trained, crate trained and house trained. She will certainly be an eye catching addition to your home and daily walks. Patience and consistency from her new family will help her to maintain these important skills. If Hannah sounds like your perfect match, read below! The adoption fee for Hannah is $500. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Scrappy is looking for a home! Please share! Scrappy was abandoned, left in a house without food or water. Thankfully a young man took him in but then moved out, leaving Scrappy with his grandmother. She’s been taking care of him, but she didn’t sign up to have him, and isn’t in the position to keep him. He is a smart boy and learns quickly. He would like to be a lap dog! He is about 2 years old and about 60lbs. He is house trained but will mark in the house because he is not yet neutered. He is young and playful. He has some separation anxiety but that may lessen with more exercise and more playtime. He currently lives with another dog and being with the other dog seems to really help with the separation anxiety. He is a counter surfer and constantly looking for food.He needs to be taught to walk on a leash and be socialized. This dog has so much potential!! Please consider him.
