This unbelievably gorgeous, blue merle blue eyed baby is named Tex!! When this guy came into a local shelter he caught everyone’s eye immediately! Once everybody spent time with him, they realized that not only is he absolutely gorgeous on the outside, but he is an unbelievable sweetheart! Thankfully, a wonderful foster home agreed to take this guy in until we find his forever home! Text has been estimated by the vets to be somewhere between 12 to 24 months old. He’s currently weigh 55 pounds but depending on his age and growth trajectory, he could be as big as 65 pounds or so at full maturity. He has had all medical work completed and his doing wonderful! He’s current on his vaccines, deworming, and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative! He has also been microchipped and neutered. He has also tested negative for heartworm! He has had his medical work done and is officially ready for adoption! This guy has adjusted to Foster care absolutely beautifully. He is a complete social butterfly and loves the opportunity to meet new friends, both human and canine! He is enjoying playing with other dogs of all sizes, and he makes new friends with everyone he meets. He would absolutely love a home with a built-in playmate and snuggle companion, but it is not a requirement. He would be just as happy with doting parents and a fun, happy social life! He’s doing great going potty outside reliably, and he’s learned basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down! He’s exceptionally smart and quick to pick up anything he would like to teach him. He is super loving and confident, and enjoying going for car rides, hikes in the woods, he likes to swim, and is ready to accompany you on whatever journeys you would like to take him! He is absolutely beautiful, but he’s also a solidly excellent dog. We often joke that Barry is a cross between a large cat and a dog. And while he may have an extremely unique look, no dog has more heart, swagger, and personality than Barry! At 2 years old, Barry weighs 45 lbs. and is considered to be a medium size dog. He has all of his basic commands down and walks reasonably well on leash. He is extremely affectionate and enjoys the company of both dogs and people, but not feline friends.Making strides is what Barry is all about and with his dedication, he has mastered his house and crate training. It is a big accomplishment for Barry, and he will gladly demonstrate his skills for his new family. It is important to remember that although he is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Barry would do best in a house with a yard; he is not suited for apartment or condo living.Barry enjoys training and is both food and toy motivated. He is an extremely intelligent dog with cat-like reflexes. Barry is always the life of the party! MEET CHAI! Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family.He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. Meet Betsy Blue, the wiggly, talkative, piglet-sounding sweetheart you didn’t know you needed in your life. Betsy is about two years old, and while we can’t be certain since she’s a rescue, our best guess is that she’s a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pittie mix. With her one blue eye and one brown eye, her soft, floppy ears, and her gorgeous coloring, she’s as stunning as she is silly. At first, Betsy can be a little hesitant when meeting new people. She’ll do her signature “drive by bump” just to test you out before deciding you’re worthy of her wiggles. But once she warms up, you’ll see a whole new side of her — joyful, snorty, and downright hilarious. Her foster says she sounds like a piglet when she gets excited, and she’s been known to jump for joy when her favorite people walk into the room. Maryann has not had it easy. She was adopted as a puppy, but when her dad got a new girlfriend, he decided that he couldn't be bothered with his dogs and so after a year, Maryann ended up back at the rescue. Now, she is hopeful that someone will see her sweet nature and beautiful colors and make her their newest family member. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, house trained and ready to be adopted. All she needs now is a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love.
