Meet Heidi & Blue – The Perfect Pair Some dogs come into your life solo… and some come as the perfect, built-in best friends. Heidi and Blue are the kind of duo that just makes sense — and they’re looking for a home where they can stay together, just as they’ve always been. Heidi is a 6.5-year-old, 56 lb Collie mix with a gentle, loving nature. Blue is a 6.5-year-old, 100 lb Great Dane mix who is equal parts big, sweet, and affectionate. Together, they are the ultimate couch potato companions. These two are happiest living the simple life — lounging around the house, enjoying time with their people, and soaking up all the love they can get. Heidi is all about the belly rubs, while Blue is a professional hugger who will happily lean into you for affection. Despite their laid-back personalities, they both walk beautifully on leash and enjoy getting out for strolls together. They’re well-mannered, know commands like sit and stay, and are both crate trained and potty trained. Heidi and Blue would thrive most as the center of attention in their home, but they can also do well with other dogs when properly introduced. They haven’t been around cats in their foster home. While they haven’t lived with kids, their sweet, friendly temperaments suggest they would likely do well with respectful children. Why you’ll love Heidi & Blue:• Bonded pair with a beautiful, loving connection• Calm, easygoing, couch potato energy• Walk great on leash• Know basic commands (sit, stay)• Crate trained and potty trained• Super friendly and affectionate If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting two dogs who already love each other (and will love you just as much), Heidi and Blue are truly something special. They’re ready to bring double the love, double the snuggles, and double the companionship into their forever home. Ready to welcome this perfect pair into your life? Apply to adopt Heidi & Blue here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Heidi and Blue are located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. Story
Shayla’s story could have gone very differently. She came to Humane Tomorrow with a group of dogs left to survive on their own in a drug-infested neighborhood in East Texas. Covered in demodectic mange and missing much of her beautiful coat, Shayla looked rough around the edges, but her sweet spirit never disappeared. With a little medicine, good food, and plenty of love, she has blossomed into the brindle princess she was always meant to be. ✨ Now this gorgeous girl is thriving. Shayla weighs about 40 lbs, the perfect medium size. She is good with dogs of all sizes, male and female, young and old, small to large. She is a well behaved girl with a medium energy level. She will need some exercise and play time to keep her healthy and happy. Shayla is smart, too. She knows how to use a dog door, loves curling up beside you in bed all night, and lives for a good game of fetch. Toss the ball once and you’ll have a devoted fan club for life. After everything she’s been through, Shayla is more than ready for a safe, happy home where she’ll never be forgotten again. She does sadly have heartworms but has already started her treatment, which is paid by Humane Tomorrow’s amazing donors. If you're interested in being this sweet girl's forever family please fill out an application and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Looking for a whole big, hunk of hound in your life? Bear is ready to meet you. Well, kind of. Bear was taught early to be aware of stranger danger so he needs a minute to check you out before just jumping in and giving you a hug. Once you are in his circle you will be there for life. Bear can flow with life as you need. He has been a great playmate with a number of dogs and is a Camp Bow Wow regular but would likely be happy as the single guy in your life *Got a soft dog bed in every room? Fabulous - he'll use them all *Enjoy a game of tug that you probably won't win? Perfect - he's going to be sure to win *Road tripper? All good but you better bring the road snacks *Lace up for a long walk or hike and he'll be at the door waiting with leash in paw. Bear would be a great dude dog, single lady friend or family man. Let him know what you need and he'll be there.

Story
Lucy has been waiting three years for a home of her own, and she’s still holding out hope that her person is out there. She’s an incredible girl, but can be timid at first and may bark or do a low growl when meeting someone new. Once she feels safe, she forms a deep bond and loves wholeheartedly. She’s very affectionate and is known to give her favorite people big “hugs.” Lucy does well with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys getting out for regular walks. No cats for Lucy! She is a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog/Lab mix (per Wisdom Panel). She’s potty trained, crate trained, and non-destructive, so she is trusted to free roam in her foster home. Due to her breed mix, an apartment is not a good fit. If you’re interested in giving Lucy the forever home she’s been waiting for, please apply at www.rescuerowinc.org.  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##950302##
