Story
I have been trying to find a home for my dog for about 6 months now. She is an absolute sweetheart. Good with kids, dogs and cats. Never bit or even growled at anything. And absolutely gorgeous. She is about 2 years old and I rescued her from a shelter when she was 6 weeks old. I only ever saw her mom who was a Catahoula. She’s not purebred but I don’t know what she’s mixed with, but she looks like a husky. For the first year or so everything was fine because she was a puppy but since she is now full grown (45 pounds) and SO energetic, my older dog isn’t having it. Also our backyard is small, and just don’t have the time for her that she deserves. Asking a $50 rehoming fee (donated to a local shelter) to ensure she is cared for.

Story
Shayla’s story could have gone very differently. She came to Humane Tomorrow with a group of dogs left to survive on their own in a drug-infested neighborhood in East Texas. Covered in demodectic mange and missing much of her beautiful coat, Shayla looked rough around the edges, but her sweet spirit never disappeared. With a little medicine, good food, and plenty of love, she has blossomed into the brindle princess she was always meant to be. ✨ Now this gorgeous girl is thriving. Shayla is the perfect medium size, good with other dogs, and full of personality. She does have a flair for drama...if another dog gives her even the slightest correction, she yells as though she’s starring in a canine soap opera. Five seconds later, she’s back to playing again. Shayla is smart, too. She knows how to use a dog door, loves curling up beside you in bed all night, and lives for a good game of fetch. Toss the ball once and you’ll have a devoted fan club for life. After everything she’s been through, Shayla is more than ready for a safe, happy home where she’ll never be forgotten again. She does sadly have heartworms but has started her treatment, which is paid by Humane Tomorrow’s amazing donors.

Story
Looking for a whole big, hunk of hound in your life? Bear is ready to meet you. Well, kind of. Bear was taught early to be aware of stranger danger so he needs a minute to check you out before just jumping in and giving you a hug. Once you are in his circle you will be there for life. Bear can flow with life as you need. He has been a great playmate with a number of dogs and is a Camp Bow Wow regular but would likely be happy as the single guy in your life Got a soft dog bed in every room? Fabulous - he'll use them all Enjoy a game of tug that you probably won't win? Perfect - he's going to be sure to win Road tripper? All good but you better bring the road snacks Lace up for a long walk or hike and he'll be at the door waiting with leash in paw. Bear would be a great dude dog, single lady friend or family man. Let him know what you need and he'll be there.

Story
Ernie is a sweet and handsome Catahoula mix…approximately 5 years old. He prefers a tight schedule/feeding time, with naps in his crate (door open). Ernie is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He loves people, but prefers to hang out with men, and be their best buddy! Ernie is a sweet boy, and beautiful, as well! He is food motivated, so training works very well, with treats! Ernie would thrive best as the only dog in the home, though seems to do ok with cats. ****Ernie is currently in foster care in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged.*** If interested in Ernie, please fill out our adoption application: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org
