Scout Has Arrived Safely in Wisconsin and Is Settling Into His Foster Home
Scout made it out of the Arkansas kill shelter and arrived in Wisconsin on 12/6 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He is now settling beautifully into his foster home, and his foster mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about him.
Meet Scout
Scout is a beautiful 2–3-year-old Catahoula mix with a kind heart and a striking coat that matches his gentle spirit. Weighing around 50 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion who’s ready for a fresh start.
Originally found as a stray, Scout endured the stress of the Arkansas kill shelter for some time and was at risk for being euthanized. Now that he’s safe in Wisconsin, his wonderful personality is shining through even more.
Foster Mom’s Report
Scout’s foster mom says he has settled in amazingly well. He’s great with kids and does wonderfully with their other dogs. He’s very friendly, people-oriented, and highly food-motivated. He walks nicely on a leash and remains gentle in everything he does. He was calm and patient for his bath and handled it very well.
Scout is also very expressive with his paws and loves to “hold your hand.” He doesn’t really jump on you, but he will gently lift himself up to say hello, which his foster family is working on.
