Scout Needs a Foster or Adopter by 12/6 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Scout is currently in the Arkansas shelter system and needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday 12/6. Without a home commitment, he won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Scout Scout is a beautiful Catahoula boy with a kind heart and a striking coat that perfectly matches his gentle spirit. At about 2–3 years old and weighing around 50 pounds, this handsome guy has so much love to give. Scout found himself in the Arkansas kill shelter after being picked up as a stray, but he’s remained sweet, calm, and eager for affection despite his uncertain past. He’s heartworm negative and ready for his chance to start fresh. Scout is good with other dogs, though he’ll be tested again to learn more about his play style. He hasn’t yet been tested with kids or cats. He seems to do fine on a leash. This gentle, loyal boy just needs a safe place to land so he can continue his journey to a better life. He’ll be available for foster or adoption on Saturday, December 6th in Cedarburg, WI when he arrives with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Meet Bella the Catahoula Mix ***** Fostered in Franklin, Wi ***** Bella is an adorable 4 month old, female, catahoula mix. She has a beautiful leopard print coat and the prettiest eyes! She currently weighs 21 pounds and we expect her to be a medium-sized adult. Bella found herself in a tough situation when she was abandoned with her sister, Fluffy, in rural Texas. She was rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought to the shelter. She is excited to come to Wisconsin and have her very own family. She enjoys people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. She is working on her potty training in Texas, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI as she is just a young puppy. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.
