Story
We acquired Luke from the Hall County animal shelter. His original name was Kevin, but we thought Luke fit him much better. He was such a cute and sweet dog that we could not leave without him. He’s 1 year and almost 2 months old. So he’s still a puppy. He is very active with a lot of energy. We have his DNA report and all his medical records. He is mostly a Husky, Dalmatian, and Great Pyrenees mix breed. He is house trained and can sit, lay, go to place, play fetch (use command ‘out’ and point to ground, and he’ll drop the ball). He has a sweet temperament and loves the company of others. He would do well living with another dog and a big area to play and run. We are looking to rehome him due to a new job. The new job requires long hours away from home. Luke would be miserable without company. Plus we do not want to crate him for extended periods of time. We are looking for a good home for Luke. Someone who will love and play with him.

Story
We have had Zena for 6 years and she is a true lovebug. All she wants to do is cuddle! She sleeps most of the day but still enjoys a small walk. She does great on leash and is not reactive. She was adopted from the shelter where she was kept outside for the first part of her life but really enjoys a comfy bed now! She is 8 years old so getting to her elder years and we are so sad to have to rehome. Zena currently lives with a pug spaniel and while 95% of the time she loves him, she has begun not getting along with him, we are unclear on all the triggers and if it starts as playing. We have tried Prozac and working around it but believe she would do better in a home without other pets where she can get all the love. She has never been aggressive towards humans although can be quite bouncy so older kids might be better. She is such a sweet dog, we only hope there’s someone out for her.

This mini Poodle mix may have three legs, but he has a heart (and a personality) big enough for any home. Weighing just 12 pounds, Victor came to Furkids after an injury led to the amputation of one of his legs. He’s adjusted beautifully and loves to run and explore. Victor is crate trained, leash trained, and ready to be your devoted companion. He thrives in a home with a secure fenced yard suitable for a small dog and does best in a household without small children. While Victor is incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses, he is very protective of his people and his toys, so he needs a family that understands the confident attitude of a little dog with a lot of sass. If you’re looking for a loving, spirited pup who’s equal parts snuggle buddy and loyal guardian, Victor might just be your perfect match! Victor currently weighs about 12 pounds and is approximately 2.5 years old (estimated birth date 10/03/2023). His adoption fee is $185. Victor has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to provide more information and arrange a meet-and-greet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
