Story
Hudson is an approximately 11 month old Goldendoodle mix (our best guess is Golden Retriever and Poodle, but we cannot guarantee breed since we do not know his parents). One thing we can guarantee is that this boy is full of fun, energy, and happiness. If fetch were a profession, Hudson would already be employee of the month. Throw the toy once and he is ready for round two immediately. The best part? He happily brings it right back and is always ready to keep the game going. He is playful, goofy, and absolutely loves being part of the action. Hudson is crate trained, great with other dogs, and does well with kids. Because he is still young, energetic, and on the larger side, we would recommend caution around very small children since his happy wiggles and excitement could accidentally knock them over. He is truly as sweet as can be and loves greeting everyone he meets with his whole-body wiggle. Hudson is an incredibly smart, active, and enthusiastic young dog who will thrive with a family prepared to meet both his PHYSICAL and MENTAL ENRICHMENT needs. He is not the type of dog that will be content lounging around all day with minimal activity. Hudson would do best in a home with space to run and play, and we would not recommend apartment living for him due to his HIGH ENERGY LEVEL. A bored young doodle can quickly become a mischievous one, so continued STRUCTURE, EXERCISE, AND ENGAGEMENT will be very important for his success. Hudson absolutely loves fetch and could happily spend hours a day chasing a ball and bringing it right back for another throw. He is also a full-body wiggle machine when excited and is still learning his manners and boundaries, so ongoing TRAINING AND CONSISTENCY will help him continue growing into the wonderful companion we know he can be. Hudson would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, playtime, and having a fun-loving companion by their side. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Now he is ready to find a forever family to keep up with all his adventures. Local adoption fee (Texas): $350 Out-of-state adoption fee: $650 (includes transport to your area)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  I know you want to meet me? Come to the Dog Days of White Bear Lake located in Downtown White Bear Lake - Washington Square (2183 3rd St, White Bear Lake, MN 55110) on Saturday, May 23rd from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Junco is a Cavalier with a soft coat, a tender heart, and a sweet, thoughtful personality. While he can still be shy at times, his joyful side is really starting to shine — when his tail gets wagging, his whole back end wiggles with pure happiness. Each day, he grows a little more confident and comfortable in the world around him. He loves gentle pets under his chin, along his back, and on his belly, though he may still duck away from hands reaching over his head — a small sign of his sensitive nature. With patience and kindness, he continues to learn just how good affection can feel. Junco absolutely adores his cozy comforts. You’ll often find him tucked into a soft dog bed surrounded by his favorite blankets and toys. He has a funny, endearing habit of collecting “soft treasures” like plush toys and socks, gathering them into his own little pile and guarding them from the other dogs with a quiet growl. Recently, he’s even started to play with soft toys, showing off more of his playful side. He enjoys being around other dogs and loves running around in a securely fenced yard, especially when he can explore and follow their lead. A fenced yard is required for Junco, as leash walking is still a work in progress. He has made nice strides — he enjoys riding in a stroller for walks and will happily hop out at “sniff spots” to explore on leash and mark a tree or two. Once it’s time to continue along the street, though, he prefers the comfort of being lifted back into his stroller. Junco is very food motivated and loves treats of all kinds, though he does have a sensitivity to chicken, so a chicken-free diet will be important for him. He’s still working on potty training but is doing really well when kept on a schedule. He can be sensitive to loud noises or overwhelming commotion, so he would do best in a calm, predictable home environment. He’s not quite a full-time cuddler yet, but he enjoys being held and carried and appreciates gentle, consistent affection. Junco is looking for a quiet, patient home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted, sensitive companion who will reward your patience with joyful wiggles, quiet sweetness, and a deep, trusting bond, Junco is ready to find his safe and loving forever home.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, my name is Benji! I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! I promise that not only am I totally worth it, but I will enrich your life in ways you could never imagine!!! Love, Benji Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.   This dog has received grooming with us at Underdog Rescue, but was likely neglected of grooming attention until he came into our care.  It can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as Doodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment.  Adopters should be prepared for such expenses.  Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up.
